I have had the worst time ever trying to do my return online. This is the third day trying to get help. Finally some guy I Calif. pops up as my pro and he’s lazy as hell. Keeps implying that due to short hours which of course is due to the virus that he can’t find the time to complete a simple review of MY WORK. It’s a simple return and I wouldn’t have needed this slug but H&R Block’s software is so bad that I can’t get all the problems it created doing the return. I say stay away from these guys. Went to Adairsville ga to h&r to have taxes done. First they cost more than our other tax preparers To do our taxes, and our tax status had not changed. Second after we filed ,paid what was owed, we got notification from This office that an addendum had been done and we needed to stop back by office to pick up the paperwork. Which meant we Owed more money. No idea this was being done. And finally my son got a letter from the Georgia irs stated he owed More money.. These people do not what they are doing. Dont go there. Had to use a tax pro because the software was not allowing to separate my Florida income versus my Wisconsin income to calculate my Wisconsin taxes refund. I had to explain multiple time what was the issue to the "tax pro", he took 2 weeks for the "tax pro" to finalize my taxes. They came back with a refund of $2215 which sounded great. Unfortunately they miss filled my taxes, i got $71 back from Wisconsin ( a difference of $2144!!!!)and when i called the Wisconsin taxes service they told me that my taxes have been wrongly f... read more

Irresponsible and dishonest tax preparer. He did not prepare nor sent the local tax return. He did charge me though. After numerous calls and messages there was no response. I feel abused as I am a seventy five year old woman. My annuity is generous. By the questions he asked, I sensed a feeling of jealousy from him, that a woman would accrue a premium annuity. He should be removed from his position. I have complained by phone twice to HR Block. The guy was supposed to call me , but no call. So what will HR Block do next?...... read more

I filed my taxes here on March 8th, 2020. I have not received my refund check and every time I call they ignore me and tell me to just wait. I’ve been waiting for three months and they are of no help. They are rude, careless, and not trustworthy. I’ve been sent to several locations to ask about my check because they don’t know anything. I demand help, I need my refund. They don’t know anything.

Well I was just going to relate that H&R Block has the worst Customer Service in Michigan and low and behold, a person just posted the same problem that I am having. E. Lim on 05/12, I totally feel your pain. I have been lied to for about a month now. My Tax Prep person said on 04/13 "I am mailing your Tax Docs back to you, you will need them to file". 05/19, 4 emails later, even asking a Manager for help, I can't even get a return email or call. HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!

I spent close to $500. to do my taxes at HR block because I wanted a relationship. I'm a teacher. That's a big deal for me. Shelter in place happens and HR Block closed down. I sent many emails, left phone messages, had questions about IRA contributions. Last I met my rep, we changed the date of withdrawing state taxes to 5/15/20. It was not withdrawn on 5/15. Uh-0h. Finally 5/18/20, I got through to her - turns out the software changed and the request never went through. I would have NOT paid my taxes had I not kept chasing... read more

I'm blown away that it is legal to add (upsell) products that are not wanted. I chose my filing and completed the state. In the end, H&R added a Tax Pro review for $89.00. I called and was told that is part of the self employment package and the only way to get rid of it is not file a Schedule C? I have done my taxes for 37 years and now they're held up by a service I didn't even want. Totally slimy business practice!

This is my first year doing my taxes by myself, so i decided i would call up the store closest to me (*** ****** **** ** **** * *** ** ********* ** *****) to be exact and ask to sit down with someone to assist me. The lady on the phone proceeds to ask me what i do for work so i tell her without thinking of it. She thens asks what i would do if she showed up like she worked at a different restaurant and ask me how to do my job, in the most disrespectful way.
