This was our first time to stay at the Hotel Derek. Our room was clean, the bed comfortable, the decor was great, and we liked the location. We used the valet and shuttle service, and had a great experience. We will definitely stay here again.
hotel is noisy, allowing guests to party at 4 in the morning running around in the halls and making noise. Manager too lazy to come out and talk to guest about complaint. definitely not a 4 star hotel.

Once a got over the coolness of my bathroom wallpaper and the hip decor I was disappointed by how filthy my room was. Seriously needs a cleaning and some fresh paint. My tub had hair in it. There was a pice if gum stuck to the room service menu. I tiptoed into the shower cause it was ick, and soon learned that the shower handle was loose and wouldn’t stay on warm, it would slip down to scalding. I moved rooms on night 2, but I didn’t feel like the staff was super apologetic about the issues.
