Skip this place. Seriously gone down hill over the years. The place is dirty, worn and the service staff doesn't seem to understand the very basics of hospitality. I'm shocked to see so many positive reviews. I like the location so I'm really hoping a hotel group with more competent management will take over and make it a worthwhile property again.

Plan on spending a lot more than what it costs. Our room was $170 after all the bs taxes n fees, came out to $260. Oh, valet, is $30. So we came here for the Halloween event. Third year in a row. This time it was not put on by the Buzz. It was a total waste of money. Wouldn’t let you back to the room. They told us because people would go to their rooms and drink. Yea! Quirky design Fabulous hotel! Terrific service, beautiful room, and good location.
First time at Hotel Derek and was not impressed at all. For what they charge and all the hidden fees when you check in I expected alot more. They should be ashamed of themselves! Bathroom was dirty when we arrived in our room and prices for everything were to high!
