The staff is very friendly, the scenery is beautiful, the food is amazing (except one burger I ate that was still raw in the middle), but the only reason I'm giving a 3 star rating is because of all the damn cockroaches. I've already killed 4 of them in my third story room in one day. They really need to get the roach issue under control. Other than that I am having a blast down here!

Our room was stinky and smelled of cigarette smoke- which was more odd that when we checked in, they were sure to tell me of the $250 cleaning fee for smoking. Food left in the hallways CONSTANTLY. Gross. Definitely needs some upgrades- very old and worn. Conroy's restaurant was sadly not on task, forgetting our food and requests. The manager thought a dessert would remedy, but we didn't want a dessert. Sent the Chilean Sea Bass back- over cooked and hard. Got the 'special' which was supposed to be a 'white flaky' fish and w... read more

We are enjoying our 2nd day here and the staff is very friendly. Comfortable rooms, lots of things to do and see! Live music poolside, delicious food items, could have more chairs and umbrellas but overall a great place to visit.

I stayed here for a conference and let's just say that the Palmetto Bugs (aka cockroaches) were an issue in my room. I killed 3 and found dropping on the ledge. One crawled over my arm while I was sleeping. Thought it bit me...I figured that leaving the carcasses for housekeeping would be enough and they would "take care of things". I thought maybe a phone call of concern would follow but after seeing these reviews I figured not so much. Bottom line...bugs are an issue, the beach and pool are great. The surrounding area is p... read more

This hotel needs to be closed for proper inspection and pest control. There were numerous roaches in our first room, so we moved to another room, and then there were even more. We eventually just switched hotels, and haven't had any roach problems since. Unless you can deal with "palmetto bugs", the term the staff uses to describe them even though "American cockroach" is an equivalent term, I would not stay here until they fix this issue. They were very sympathetic and clearly have dealt with numerous complaints. Looks bad f... read more

Roach Hotel!! Infested with roaches! Changed rooms twice, gave up and moved down the street to the Omni- a real hotel!

We are staying in room 522. We've been here 12 hours and our room has flooded three times from the air conditioning. We didn't expect mold and algae for our $450 a night room! We reserved adjoining rooms that were not available when we arrived, the door key didn't work and the safe didn't work. Yeah the mold and algae could be a problem for any body with lung problems! Overall this place has been very disappointing!

The staff was nice but this property needs a major overhaul. We stayed in the South Tower Memorial day week. First room 364 had a broken room door knob, 2nd room 278 had a view of trees, 3rd room 461 had a broken room door knob, hiney door you had to push/pull to close and a broken refrigerator. Add to that, no AC in the hallways or connecting halls, big cracks in the hallway ceilings and it definitely needs work. My husband has spoken with customer service 3 times, been hung up on twice and all management can say is they ho... read more

I travel extensively and always use Marriott properties. I always use this property for my Hilton Head Island vacations and am never disappointed. The experience starts the moment I exit my vehicle, continues with a professional front desk staff that recognize your loyalty to Marriott. The Concierge staff are more than willing to go above and beyond to ensure you have the most relaxing stay. I always look forward to this trip.
