We just got here yesterday and it's our first stay here but the staff could not be any better. From the nice guy who took our luggage to the room, the front desk clerk, Sarah. The housekeeping staff, Martha at the concierge desk, and the bartenders at the pool bar. I love this hotel & would definitely come back again & again.

We had a beautiful week here last week. Thank you to all of the staff, especially housekeeping. The front desk and concierge staff were amazing as well. We were in the south tower and found it to be clean, up to date, and in great working order!! Honestly, I read other reviews, and was alittle worried about making my origional reservation, but decided that the good far outweighed the bad, and am very glad that I went with the majority of the population who love this location! Thank you all for a wonderful vacation.

When we first arrived, Ron, valet I think, greeted us with enthusiasm and warmly welcomed us. He assisted with our bags and on our way to our room he was describing the weather, the amenities, etc He also told us if we needed anything to let him know. Our entire stay every staff member we encountered was extremely friendly and I mean every employee! I've had a horrible experience throughout my 7 day stay. The first two days I had a room in the south tower was infested with roaches. Day 3 the toilet overflowed and flooded out into the room. I had to wait hours until another room was ready and was given a king bed when I needed a double bed room. I had to move again to get the double bed room on my 4th day. If I could choose a lower rating, I would. Marriott charges 300+$ a night for a lively decor of roaches (live and dead) - scattering all across your room - your baggage ! Maybe the name should be Hilton Head Marriott ROACH Resort ! Roach Viewing Area included for free (no service tax on roach viewing) !

Although there were several reviews regarding the palmetto bugs/tree roaches, I found there to be none. Thankfully. The staff were all very accommodating, especially the service around the pool, and the lifeguards on the beach who serviced the umbrellas. I also enjoyed the extra points for skipping the maid services for a day or two. The hotel does feel older, but it was well kept with the cleanliness. Room service meals were very good.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, fabulous ocean view. My 4 star rating is for the Palmetto bugs I found in my room and the fact that the sheets don't fit the beds. Please get some fitted sheets that go on the deep mattresses and use a flat sheet that comes over the edge. For the price, this hotel should be of Resort and Spa quality.
