If I could leave 0 stars I would. I contacted hertz because we couldn't pay with debit online. The first representative was kind but didn't send the confirmation email. So I contacted hertz again about the confirmation I did not receive. The representative read the dates and I corrected the date because it was incorrect. I also updated the email so we could receive the confirmation this time. I explained to the representative that we wanted to pay upon pick up. Worst customer service ever, prepaid for car and when I went to pick it up, they cancelled my reservation and wanted me to pay twice the price, call center apparently in another country, operator could not understand English

Las Vegas Hertz rental car company is the worst company I have ever dealt with and I travel all over. I had my son in law rent a car over the phone in Las Vegas and they took his money off his debit card and gave him a confirmation number. When he arrived a couple months later they would not give him the car because he didn't have a credit card. DO NOT EXTEND YOUR RENTAL WITH THESE PEOPLE IF FACT, DONT RENT WITH THEM AT ALL. Book my car and paid 328.00 all in. Extended for one extra week and it cost 678.00 plus the already 328.00. The lady on the phone said "now your total rental cost will be 678.00" assuming that includes the first week but no. They used every excuse when I called them. Then I told them I'm returning the car now. They said its pre-paid so you can't. I am returning today and reporting the charge to VISA. Stay away from these people.

I used Expedia to book an economy car for $33/day for 2/1/22. When I arrived I was told that they did not have any economy cars and I would have to rent an upgraded model at the upgrade model price if I wanted to rent a car from them. I told the Michigan St. fan salesman that he should give me the upgraded car at the economy car price and he said, 'It doesn't work that way". Summary: Totally opaque, deceptive price estimates, and unhelpful, unfriendly customer service. I rented a car from Hertz recently. I placed a reservation online, and was given a price estimate for the total cost of the rental of about $715. I paid a deposit of about $500 as I placed the reservation online. When I picked up the car, only then was I told that I would need to pay extra to add a second driver (other rental car services let you specify this when reserving so it can be included in the price estimate). Hertz is the worst car rental company !!! The car I rented, the front bumper was falling off and had cigarette burn holes in seats . My 22 year old daughter was driving this car and lost all brakes and WAS FORCED TO STOP ON THE INTERSTATE. After 10 to 15, 20-minute phone calls roadside assistance was absolutely useless. I reserved and payed for a van a month ago. when I went to pick it up they said they have no vans available and there was nothing they could do about it. I payed contractors to help with moving stuff, they cost me thousands of dollars out of pocket due to their unprofessional services. this business needs to be investigated they are a bunch of scammers........
