Overpriced, overcooked, OVER-RATED – Okay - so skybar rocks and the mondrian is gorgeous...but Asia de Cuba - CERTAINLY leaves something to be desired. The hosts are kinda rude, the food is bad, the service is horrible and well - it leaves a HUGE hole in your wallet. Certainly not what I expected. I expected the restaurant and the food to match the beautiful hotel. But it didn't. We ordered the chicken skewers (dry and bland), the beef dumplings (there were 3 and they were overcooked!!!), the calamari salad (most decent thin... read more
Amazing view – This is the place where you go to enjoy the view while having a glass of wine, the food is ok, it's not their strongest selling point certain things definetly lack in taste and presentation, but if you can sit outside it's all worth it.
Trendy, decent food. – If you like nice and quiet, this is not the place for you. It is loud. Several large groups of people. Even at 10 pm the place was packed on a Tuesday night. Lots of beautiful people. Nice views. The butterfish was great, but the lamb was a little too salty. The server said the flan was excellent, but it was nothing amazing. Food, tip, valet, total cost was just about $200 for two of us.
Wonderful views – Great place for a special occasion. I've been there twice and tried several of their dishes (all extremely delicious). A must try is the side order of fried rice--equipped with sweet potatoes and topped with guacamole. I went for a friend's bday, and they personalized the dessert we ordered with his name. Dining at Asia de Cuba is truly a culinary delight!
The Best! – I ate here twice and am completely satisfied. I went there with a party of 9 and we just let the waiter order for us. We did a family style dinner which practically served almost everything on the menu. It was nice to have a bit of everything. Every dish the waiter ordered was so yummy and delicious. The total bill was $1300 but well worth it.
My FAVE for years – I can't say enough good things about this place.... the food is delicious, beautiful crowd. the martinis are so yummy AND stiff. I never had a bad experience in all the times I've been here. Asia De Cuba remains to be one of my favorite restaurants 3 yrs straight. From the first time experiencing this place, i was hooked! Recommended! (lychee martini and everything on the menu!)
Nice Easter Brunch – This is the second time I've eaten here, the first time was a large group for dinner and that was okay. Brunch was great, I had the smoked salmon plate. We basically decided to eat our way through Easter, we didn't stop at brunch, we added shrimp tempura and tuna rolls, then ended with the mexican donuts and flan. ALL of our food was top notch, service was good, not great but good. I'll come back here again and again (when I can afford it).
One of the best restaurants in Los Angeles....amazing!!!! – I have heard amazing things about Asia de Cuba and it lived up to every expectation and thensome. I took peoples recommendations and had the lychee martini and it was great and we also had the calamari salda, which I didnt think was that great, I loved that it had bananas and cashews, which added to the flavor of the calamari but there was too much lettuce to get any flavor from the salad. We then had the butterfish, that was amazing.......it melted in our mouth and... read more
Great meal, but such expensive valet – Fantastic meal (especially the short ribs and butterfish, both of which were incredible). Keep in mind the portions are quite large and meant to be shared, so it's easy to order too much food. The decor is beautiful and the outdoor patio (when there isn't loud throbbing music playing next to the pool) is gorgeous, with amazing views of LA. But good heavens...the valet (with validation) has gone up to $15!!! For an hour and a half meal. Parking in LA has always been ridiculous, but wow..... read more
