Incredible Food and Atmosphere – I wanted to take my gf someplace nice and new (for us) for her bday, so we decided to go to Asia de Cuba. From beginning to end, it was an amazing evening (except for a 15-20 minute period in the middle where our waiter seemed to fall asleep and just forgot about us). Despite the mixed reviews, we didn't have to wait for our table, even though we showed up a few minutes late. The service was very good, considering how busy they were on a Friday evening, and the ambience is quite nice, but not... read more
A Perfect Experience – My dad was visiting from out of town and I wanted to take him somewhere special. I'd heard so many good things about Asia De Cuba that I decided to give it a try. We were greeted by a friendly hostess with a warm smile and immediately seated at a beautiful table outside overlooking the city. Wow, it was an amazing view!! Our server was very friendly and informative; he took good care of us and checked on us many times throughout the night. The food was terrific!! We had the Scallops, Butterfish, and Sh... read more
Elegant, high class dining on the Sunset Strip. Interesting new flavors in great surroundings – This is a very 'happening' establishment. Wonderful decor, inside and out. The outdoor tables offer fantastic views of Los Angeles. Excellent service. Great bar and nice wine list. Each course offers novel flavors and presentation. Save room for dessert! The sides are fantastic too - they make a wasabi mashed potato and black bean roll that's out of this world. Just classy top to bottom. Parking is overpriced, but it's the strip. ... read more
Great Hollywood Experience – The food, service, and views were all incredible. 2 out-of-town friends & I ordered the spicy tuna roll special, lobster potstickers, Chilean seabass, char sui beef short ribs, lobster-boniato mash, and carrot cake for dessert. All of it was delicious, especially the sweetness of the short ribs and the richness of the lobster mash. There was an exception, the carrot cake. It had a pineapple cheese cream frosting that none of us really liked. Jason, our server, explained the family-style approach ... read more

The Perfect Night Out – OK so last Saturday night I had a reservation at Asia de Cuba for my anniversary. I had never been there before, but heard wonderful things about it. Upon my arrival I was greated by the host and hostess with big smiles welcoming us into the restaraunt. The inside of the restaraunt was gorgeous. We only had to wait about five minutes even though the place looked pretty packed, and we were seated at a small table on the patio one row back from the large windows. Our waitress was so attentive and the fo... read more
The worst service ever!! – Okay, so I went tonight and I can't tell you how much I was looking forward to the experience. I had only been once before - years ago - and was eagerly anticipating scrumptious food and wonderful service, just like I'd enjoyed so much before. Wow. What a resounding disappointment. I should have known that the night would be a bust the second the college-aged hostess told us that our 8PM reservation wouldn't be ready for 15 minutes. Fine, no problem. We understand this is a busy, popular restaurant... read more
2 thumbs down for Asia De Cuba – The staff is extremely rude and the take forever to seat the customers, especially on the weekends. Even thought the food tastes good, it is over-priced and not worth it. If they would lower their prices a little bit, and hire some new staff members I might consider going there again.
Avoid Thurdays through Saturdays! Hour and a half wait WITH RESERVATIONS! – Last night I went to "Asia de Cuba" for the second time. Good food, but SLOW TO SEAT! The first time I had gone to this restaurant it was on a Thursday night and were seated forty minutes after we arrived (despite our reservation)-- and then we were given a table right near the entrance and a very breezy door, which made for a terrible drafty and cold ambiance. I figured I just got unlucky. So last night, I thought I'd give "Asia de Cuba" another cha... read more
