Great People Watching – I have eaten at this restaurant a few times, and I get most of my pleasure from the service that's provided there. The food is average, there are a few items that are above average, but it's ok. They do have a pretty tasty breakfast....The valet is crazy priced, but they can afford to do so because parking is a nightmare on Sunset.
The Best Fusion in town – The last time I picked a restaurant for my friends to have her dinner, everyone was mad at me but now I have redeemed myself, once I chose Asia de Cuba. The lighting was dim so we could barely see the menu but what ever we ate it was so good, my mouth is watering just thinking of it. This restaurant is now one of my favorites. Be sure to dress L.A chic or prepare to fell out of place. My recommendations is butter fish, calamari salad, pesto shrimp and chicken on lemon grass.
Asian Fusion – This place is great for parties! It's right next to the Sky Bar, but don't think you can get in just because you ate @ Asia de Cuba. If you want to get into the bar, get a room there for the night. The restaurant has some of the best service and a fabulous lychee martini! The Key Lime martinis are great too! Yummy Butterfish! – Romantic date spot. Make reservations and ask for table on the patio with a view. You'll be more likely to get a good table if you get there earlier. We ordered: Tuna Tartare (too salty for my taste, wouldn't recommend), Asia de cuba salad (the one with bananas, highly recommended); Butterfish (contrary to the name, no butter added, healthy and YUMMY! Great place for a Romantic Dinner...Short Ribs to Die for! – My husband and I celebrated our 1st Wedding Anniversary here and could not have picked a more romantic place. We were seated as soon as we arrived even though we were running a bit late for an early dinner reservation (called to let them know). This is Pure LA at its best! – Ok... for those of us who live in LA and go out..well all the time... We found ourselves in this timeless spot where the service and food is consistently fantastic. Great view of the city... – I must admit, I was surprised by the fabulous service we received from Asia de Cuba! We were expecting maybe rude or difficult reactions when we asked to be moved from our table near the back to a table open at the front. They were VERY accommodating and the evening only continued to impress. The menu is expensive (with a minimum charge per person) but worth it. You would never imagine right on the other side of the glassed in room resides the hardest bar to get into in Hollywood.
Wonderful City View and tasty, tasty, expensive food. – Our reservations were for 7:30 on a Wednesday night ... I definately recommend the outside patio table - ask for city view - it is beautiful. Even on a smoggy, hot summer night - the patio was very nice and cool. Even though we were 15 minutes late, we were seated after 10 minutes, our waiter was friendly and had great recommendations. Terrible attitude and service – I made reservations for a dinner party one month before my birthday. They are so unaccomodating and snobby. Dinner was good, but so not worth it. The staff has a serious attitude problem and very unfriendly. Get over yourselves!!!! There are plenty of restaurants on LA. DO NOT GO HERE. Spend your money on a restauant that will serve you kindly and treat you more graciously.
