Great Food – It's all about the calamari-banana salad. You can't go wrong with any of their shelled fish dishes. This Asia de Cuba beats the one in NY & SF.

The Perfect Date – My boyfriend took me here on our first date. It was an absolute dream! We went on a Sunday evening so it was not very crowded (I don't know if it is any different on a busy night). We sat outside overlooking the view which was amazing and well worth the wait. The service and food were exceptional. Our waiter was very helpful and attentive and had a great sense of timing in terms of when to come over and when to give us space. The food was beautifully presented and inventive. We loved the crab croquettas st... read more

Great Time – My friend and I had lunch at Asia De Cuba this past weekend, and I thought it was really nice. We had these lobster rolls for an appetizer, which was sooo good. For lunch I ordered the lobster club, also delicious! And it came with fries. My friend had fish(I forget which kind) but it was also good! The champange was great also, of course we had to get a bottle. Oh and we had dessert, it was chocolate but I forget what it was called, kinda a coffee flavor! I recommend sitting outside in the patio by the window f... read more

Very Enjoyable, but Pricey for What You Get – I loved it. The atmosphere, the people, drinks, etc. were fantastic. Patio seating is the best. Food was delicious, but extremely over-priced (three chicken skewers for $50). The prices were quite laughable. Quite shocking, really, considering the food is similar to other less expensive, yet just as tasty, places. I guess you pay for the view and the FABULOUS service. If you want an excellent dining experience as far as being pampered by the management and waitstaff go to Asia de... read more

Trendy, spendy and splendidly offbeat island cooking enjoyed in the glitzy white Mondrian Hotel dining room. – The restaurant at the uber-sleek Mondrian hotel is a white-on-white fantasia packed with expense accounters, hotel guests and pretty people on dates. Philippe Starck cuckoo clocks line the stark walls, while hundreds of tiny lights create a warm, romantic glow. The patio, with its surreal giant clay pots, ficus trees and panoramic views, is one of the loveliest dining spaces in town. Caribbean-Latino-Asian dishes ar... read more

great people-watching; terrible food – I had been wanting to go there for a l long time because of all the hype. Definitely interesting for people-watching. We got a nice table by the window. Would probably recommend going to the patio instead (it looked very cool!). The food was terrible. I was shocked by how bad it was. I don't understand the calamari salad at all. The salmon tasted too fishy and the beef was tasteless. At least the dessert was delicious. I highly recommend the cuban opera(huge enough to share).

I Love Asis de Cuba! – I live in West Hollywood area, and my boy friend and I love dining out. Asia de Cuba is one of our favorite restaurants with great fusion food. It has nice decor, amazing view of LA city, great hospitality, and awesome food. I especially recommend its appetizers such as grilled shrimp served with mango cocktail, fried calimari salad, and tuna tartar. I have tried about 6 different entrees (steak/sea food/duck), and I like them all! Don't forget to try Asian style fried rice with guacamole on top as you... read more

nice! – we had reserved a suite in Mondrian, yet because of the bad weather during our stay were "forced" to eat at the sea bar instead of al fresco as we had hoped. Though Sea Bar serves the same food as ADC and the athmosphere is nice, I guess you need to do and be more than a hotel suite guest (paying $500 a night) to dine at the real place. Food was excellent, although I always wonder why it is that when mentioned recommendations servers are always instructed to sell up the low-food cost items (butterfish, averages 5 dol... read more

heaven on sunset – I've dined at quite a few "hot" restaurants in L.A. and Asia de Cuba exceeded the hype. The restaurant is absolutely GORGEOUS and the staff, from the hostess to the busboys were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Even after requesting to move twice, our hostess, Stephanie, was a sweetheart. If possible, procure seating as close as possible to the windows, which offer amazing views of L.A. We couldn't read our menu because the wind made it impossible to keep a burning candle, so we relied on our server's s... read more
