We had made a reservation for 5 people two weeks ago, got a confirmation and was ready to go. Few hours before 745pm, we wanted to add 3 people to the rsvp. We called and they didn't have the reservation we requested 2 weeks ago. We were on hold for 30 minutes talking to 3 different people trying to figure this out. So i called on my other line to make a reservation for 8 people at 745 and BOOM. it was that easy. Why would they make use wait for so long on the other line for a reservation we already had? Searsucker is one of my favorite restaurants in Sam Diego, that's saying a lot! The service is always spot on! The waiters are very attentive without being bothersome and they know the menu like the back of their hands.' The food is amazing. I suggest the shrimp and grits small plate and the pork entree. Terrible dining experience – I can't rate LAVO as a club, but my dining experience there was terrible. The music was so loud it was impossible to carry on a conversation with anyone at the table. The service was extremely slow and the dining area was so cramped I had people running into me the entire meal. Once our food finally did arrive, the waiter informed me that my meal had been dropped and it would be another 15-20 minutes- I did not receive any comps for having my food dropped after already waiting an hour and a half.... read more

Delicious fusion. Beautiful seating area and views – Went here with the wife during Dine LA. Tried their most popular dishes: Butterfish, calamari salad, some sort of chick pea dumpling and a donut-hole type dessert with dipping sauce. All very very good and you'll pay for it. Definitely worth trying once and a good spot for a special date. Getting window seating with a view might be a little tough but other seats still get you a decent view.
