It is really sad that you would deny a snf request for an 85 yr old with recent hip surgery, confusion and who lives alone. We will file DOI complaint against your company.
Worst insurance ever. They deny procedures and are unwilling to give names or credentials of the supposed Drs. doing the denials. My daughter needs back surgery and in her denial letter it says her Dr can do a peer to peer with their Drs but when he has tried to do that twice has been denied both times. The appeal was denied and 2 days ago we were told there could be a peer to peer and today that was denied even though it is in writing with a phone number to call. Coverage cost increased 300.00 per month. Every year my shitty plan increases and we have to switch back and forth between blue cross and health alliance to keep somewhat reasonable rates. Another large cost increase means I'll have to shop around once again...boo
absolute garbage of a company every thing that is wrong with health care
Health alliance is AWEFUL in paying out of network. Even when you pay your out of network Deductible they STILL won't pay - mincing terms and words and out of pocket terms so they don't pay. I have been a member for over 30 years and will be switching. With a $1500 premium a month you would think they would be fair but unfortunately they are quick to take their premiums and quick to deny all claims. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
