Used to be decent. Anymore nobody knows anything. Told a blood test is covered. A month later it is denied 'not in contract'. How does the first person not know that? When you call you are talking to someone in their living room. Who gave Health Alliance permission for these people to have access to our records? Third party makes the decision in testing is what we are told. Then that is who we should talk to when we call to see if it is covered!!

Health Alliance refuses to pay claims for my son's medical care while he was covered by a paid policy. Health Alliance claims they sent a letter inquiring whether he was covered under other insurance (he never has been) and because they did not receive a reply, they are not responsible for his medical expenses for which we paid them premiums. No such letter was received. We are filing a complaint with the Illinois Department of Insurance.
Nothing like making me pay $2500 for life saving medical equipment that you can easily buy for $500. What a complete & utter rip off. What is the point of insurance other than being gouged!! Money hungry company!!
You withdrew $231 from my account on Friday despite me no longer being a customer as of December 31. My monthly premium was $172 so I have no clue what you jerks are doing. I called you multiple times, could never get a living person, and have left several messages without receiving a call back. You'll be hearing from my bank you thieves!
I've been trying to add my baby to my insurance since he was born 7 weeks ago. I keep getting the run around and transferred between Health Alliance and the Marketplace. No one seems to understand that I need to add him to insurance from the day he was born instead of adding him to 2018 coverage only. Now I cannot actually talk to a human from Health Alliance. I shouldn't be out of luck because my baby was born during the open enrollment period.
My surgery has been scheduled for over a month and I just received word that despite having a highly skilled surgeon tell me that surgery was necessary, I am denied. And on top of all of that, Health Alliance points the finger at Evicore because they are the ones that make the decisions. I don't pay my premiums to Evicore, I pay them to Health Alliance, this is not okay.
4 minutes on hold (not too bad these days) then a req. member id (customary) then forwarded to some unknown line to wait 10 minutes and finally get a voice-mail. Now I'm wondering how long before I get a call back. Why bother? I have a notice from health care provider: "Please Notify Your Insurance Company Regarding the Procedure you have scheduled." C'est la vie et morte
