Yesterday I learned that Health Alliance is cutting off coverage of my 81-year-old mother's rehab stay in skilled nursing, three weeks after hip replacement surgery, two weeks after entering the rehab facility. I appealed, today I learned that our appeal was denied. Basically they are saying that she is not progressing and needs custodial care. She hasn't even had her post-surgical follow-up with her orthopedist. Boo hiss Health Alliance Plan.

I am so disappointed in Health Alliance right now. I have been getting injections for 6 yrs now that help with my back issues, now since you have gone to Evicore all of a sudden it's not approved. I have to jump thru hoops and pay extra money so that I can get the injection. I find it disappointing that you are asking me to pay more and you are also paying more for tests so that I can do what helps me get on with my regular life.

I have never dealt with a company who does not let their employees use the brains God gave them. Very dogmatic. They don't care about the patient. All Health Alliance cares about is what their plan says. Very uncaring company. Don't ever get a plan with them, especially an HMO.
