Verified Renter I used to love living here at Hawthorne. The parking is getting very complicated and the staff are reserving the better spots for themselves. Also, I just putin for damaged door. These doors are nothing special but they charged me $500 to fix it. Along with my ridiculous monthly rate, you can garenteee to pay WAY too much money living here.
Verified Renter Love living here close to everything ?? been here 5 years clean environment! My one ask would be when I send an email concern it is answered in a timely manner. The last one I sent (I don't do it often maybe twice in the years) was never responded to.

Verified Renter I just moved in and Kingslay and the front desk made the process very welcoming and simple. Emails were promptly replied to and I could always rely on a quick reply. When I moved in, they even moved all my IKEA furniture into my unit for me! The units themselves are very nice. Some amenities are a little outdated but perfectly functional and adequate. Very spacious and my cat loves it.

A waste of time and money To start, their application is ridiculous, like purchasing a mortgage, they required far too much information. After completing the long application and approval the Hawthorne Commons waited 6 days to deliver a lease agreement. Their lease agreement had a gouging month-to-month price increase that requires months of notice to avoid an auto-renewal on. Even though I immediately rejected this agreement I could not recover my $250 application fee because of the long delay delivering the lease agreement... read more

The application process does need your personal information so we can perform our standard background screening check along with income verification. We do charge Month to Month fees for any resident who is non-compliant with their lease. Lovely, pet-friendly community.... (Verified Renter) Lovely, pet-friendly community. I love my neighbors and the office and maintenance staff are wonderful. The landscaping needs more attention this year, specifically the shrubs need to be trimmed.
