Every week I am missing at least 2 papers. I call get some foreign person , she or he reads from a script....Says they will get in touch with the manager of my area , never happens... Missed yesterdays Sunday $5 paper or what ever it cost now....went online to my account and asked that it be delivered with todays paper ...still no paper...But they couldn't wait to take the money from my account for the subscription.... DEFINATLEY GONE DOWN HILL... THEY TELL ME TO GO ONLINE TO READ.....WTH... IF I WANTED THAT I COULD JUST CAN... read more

We would just like the paper to be delivered. It arrives maybe once or twice a week.

The Courant delivery service is awful . It has gotten worse when they started to print the paper out of state. We only receive the paper ever other day and sometimes not that often. The customer service people are nice but I doubt they contact the delivery service. I get the same response every time - they will contact the delivery service and we will receive the paper we paid for. Do we have to contact the AG for help!

I couldn’t be more discouraged by the poor customer service with The Hartford Courant. We paid for the entire year in January of 2023. This was to receive the paper on Thursdays and on Sundays. We have not received the paper at all. I have called customer service every single week on Thursday and Sunday complaining about not receiving it. I get the same ridiculous response about how sorry they are that we haven’t received it. They promise to have someone call me back within 24- 48 hours to respond to my complaint. I placed an online complaint about not getting my paper delivered early in the week. When I failed to get a delivery for two (2) more days, I called to cancel my subscription. The CSR was apologetic and offered me a discount if I would give the Courant a chance to rectify the situation. I agreed but indicated they’d hear from me again if there was a problem. Well, today I did not get a newspaper delivered so I phoned (what is obviously an ******call center) to cancel. I was disconnected twice before fully explaining my issue... read more

I have been having delivery issues for 3 years. The weekday paper is often delivered after 8:30 am which means I am already at work and won't be able to read it until I return. Customer service is constantly re-directing me to the online version which is not appealing to me. In addition, when I miss a paper and report it I discovered that the credit is your expiration date being extended by one day. I would give 0 stars if possible. The Hartford Courant is not the business it once was. My mother pays 13 weeks in advance for her paper. Most weeks the paper does not make it to our house at least 1-2 days. However, we are currently going on day 10. We call customer service every single day. They say the same things every single day. My mother has dementia and probably calls them multiple times each day. It doesn’t matter. We still don’t get a paper. In the last year I have called the Courant 25 times because I didn't receive my paper. I get the same response every time, it is like talking to a machine, they have no answers and they can't resolve the problem. They keep telling me they will send an urgent message about my problem! If they told me they don't have a delivery person I can understand that, just tell me what is going on! Poor Customer Service!
