Have been reading the Courant since 1961. Have subscribed since 1967. The deliveries since John (our delivery person for many years) found he could no longer deliver because of personal issues has been below POOR !!!!!!! I have been calling on a daily basis for such a long time that when I ask SIRI, at 8:02 am, she automaticity says YEAH I KNOW CALL HARFORD COURANT. Deliveries are sporadic. Sometimes we get the Wall Street Journal instead of the Courant. Multiple calls have been made, with the same, lame canned response from 1st line customer service. Each time they promise that someone from distribution will call back. They NEVER have. At the price charged (over $1,000 per year) service needs to be better. HARTFORD COURANT keeps charging my account for subscriptions on september 20 and october 5, 2022. i called about the one on september 20, 2022, customer service told me they have no record of it. On october 5, 2022, i received notice from my bank another charge from hartford courant. hartford courant has poor speaking customer service. how can they charge my account and don't have it on file.
Have had delivery problems for well over a year. Multiple calls to customer service without resolution. Say goodbye to this left wing rag. Canceled subscription today ! Rating should be less than zero.

NO paper delivered on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022 & N0 paper delivered on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022 to my home. Both Big Y in Avon & Stop & Shop in Simsbury NEVER received copy of Sunday Sept. 18, 2022 Hartford Courant.
I have home delivery of the Courant. They are supposed to leave the paper on the porch. This doesn't happen they leave vitamin in the driveway or lawn. I have called them 100s of times complaining and nothing is resolved, this has been going on for well over a year+. I'm not happy and at the point if this isn't resolved I would cancel the paper. My opinion is the district manager, contractor and divery person need to be fired as they aren't doing anything to correct this issue. Also there have been days where I don't get the... read more

The delivery person is horrible about delivering paper. First, we asked several times to have it delivered or thrown on front stoop. My husband is 83 and he has difficulty walking downstairs. (Which they tell us they will but it isn’t done.). I can’t remember the last time we received the paper every day in one week. This past week we didn’t get paper a total of 5 days out of 7. We had a 7 day per week delivery and were lucky to get 3 papers per week. Then reduced our subscription to 2 days per week and have not received a paper since July 31st. Calling Customer Service and Subscription services gets you nowhere. You speak to someone out of the country and told paper will be redelivered..no paper. Since the beginning of this year the delivery service has been the worse and customer service is no help. The last 4 days we have received 1 paper. I cannot believe that the BBB has given this company an A+ rating after seeing the customer review rating.
