History Established in 1999. Opening in Jan 1999 The owner took a building built by J. Paul Getty and A.K.Warren who started Gypsy Oil Company and was one the biggest oil companies of its time. Thus the name Gypsy , after a burlesque dancer of the day Gypsy Rose Lee . I've been going to The Gypsy coffee house for almost a year now and I got to say that it's my go to place to hangout and relax. I love the staff. They always take good care of me and they're always very kind, chill, patient, and funny. The people that come into The Gypsy are nothing but kind and respectful. I love The Gypsy and all the people who give this place one star for not being like Starbucks...*clears throat* kindly take your input and choke on it. If Starbucks is #1 shove it up your ass and make it #2.
