Fabulous and Yummy! – Excellent in all aspects. Food is fabulous, servers and very knowledgeable on all foods and wines. Ambiance is great as well! The best steakhouse by far!
Great Steak – It can get costly to go here but you get a great steak. I really don't like dropping close to $100 for a 2 person dinner that often, but other than the price I like everything about this place. Luckily in the chicago area there are other good steak places that are a little more reasonable.
Gibson's is Absolutely the Best – Gibson's has a few minor drawbacks. The service is average and the wait time is average. But I have to give it a 10 rating simply becuase it has, I believe, the world's best steak. Good food but? – Great steaks but too crowded and the wait is way to long even with a reservation. Unless your a "name" you get luke-warm treatment.
overdone – A group of us visited Gibson's a while back (in past year) and we had made reservations well in advance. It was pitiful! They stuck 10 of us on a 6 top table. It was rediculous the overall atmosphere reminded me of a cattle car! I'm sorry but I could not recommend this place to anyone. Although the steak was very good you can do much better and have the total package at other restaurants. I would recommend Ruths or Chop house long before I recommend Gibson's. beyond great service! – My husband and I were just at Gibson's in Rosemont two days ago and cannot wait to go back. I have eaten at the downtown location twice and the Rosemont location twice and have NEVER had to wait! The food is utterly sublime(that giant lobster tail is well worth the $100.00 we paid for it!)and the service is even better! The wait staff was very attentive ,and fun! We are taking my mother-in-law in to experience it, and soon!
hype, eye-candy – been a few times...usually the steaks are good cuts but cooked one temp too much (but is normal I've found for Chicago). Would people go out of the way if it was in a different location?...

Gold diggers paradice – I lived in Chicago for 4 years, Gibsons was the first restaurant that I ate at in that city and I think that it could be one of the best. Not to mention the great location! You can have a out of this diner and then go out to the street for a night of great entertainment! This became a regular routine for me! It is also a regular hang out to some high end spenders! (ladies)
