A simple menu, and great steaks. The steaks are apparently cooked over a very hot flame -- they are really burned on the outside, but just right on the inside -- thick and juicy. We shared a stuffed potato and neither of us could finish our half. It was wonderful, though. The asparagus was out of this world wonderful. The service was great.

Great Service and Food – We had an absolutly great experience at this restaurant. Food was great and the service was top notch. our steaks were done just as we had ordered them.
Fading Fast – I have dined at Gibsons in the past and had a much better visit. Our food this time was average and not up to other steak houses in the city. The double baked potatoe was especially sub par. We were told when we made our reservation that the only times available were 5 and 10 but empty tables were all around during our entire meal. over rated – They cram you into a crowded dining room. The staek isn't any better than anyone elses on the list!
Nonsense – Gibson's is over rated, over priced, crowed and the place to go only if you have a need to be seen! Chicago has better steak houses.
not again – The steak was good but we were treated rudely. I had reservations and it still took an hour to get seated.
Big MEAT! – If you can wait out the wait to get in, Gibsons has some of the tastest, tenderest steaks you will find in the mid-West. Don't expect to sit down to your X:00 reservation until X:30; its just something they do - except to local insiders.
