Hotel Solis, Rome via #gate1 *Filthy, unsafe dirty hotel * I wish this was the only problem we had, the electricity would go out multiple times a day, (7 times in a 15 min period) there were problems with the water and the rooms were filthy. Our independent 11 day trip by rail to Budapest, Vienna, and Prague couldn't have been possible without Gate1 Travel. The trip was seamless with no issues whatsoever, and extremely affordable. Highly recommend using Gate1 travel if you're hoping to explore Europe without breaking the bank!
Just returned from a 14 Day Kaleidoscope of Thailand with River Kwai. Can only speak highly of this trip from value for money. The accomodation was exceptional, the daily breakfast had many choices & plentiful. The sightseeing was very interesting. Our bus driver Max was a good careful & polite driver. M the bus assistant was always ready with cold towelettes & water when required. Lada the tour manager was amazing, she bent over backwards to make sure everyone had an enjoyable time. Lada went above & beyond her duties.
I haven't even taken my trip yet and I already would NOT recommend this company. One of my family members suddenly passed away (a week after we put our deposits down) so we had to take her off our reservation and it has been 3 months of back and forth with them to get her airfare refunded in full. They don't have a policy for deaths but keep trying to say that we aren't owed an airfare refund through them so had me deal directly with the airline, Delta. Just returned from a 12 day tour of Italy. It was a wonderful experience. Martin, our tour captain was exceptional, as were all of our tour guides. I will be recommending the company to anyone interest in an organized travel experience.
Very well organized and our tour guide Santiago was outstanding! Kept the tour on point and very pleasant to be with. We had no issues at any stop and I will use them again. Highly recommend this way to travel abroad.
This is our First trip with Gate 1 and we are thrilled. Our tour guide Jason was beyond excellent. He was there for all our needs. He was very informative about China & it’s history & culture. His choices in Food were excellent. He was helpful in the language barrier when we needed it.
