RecommendedBEST trip of my life with Gate1!!! Our tour guide Wilson helped create a family atmosphere on this adventurous vacation. We went canoeing in the Amazon, we saw cascading waterfalls, we stayed in amazing accommodations along the way, went to natural hot springs, stayed at a lakeside resort with alpacas running around, and had so many daily “surprises” from Wilson that made the whole experience UNFORGETTABLE!! If you are looking for adventure and beauty, this is the trio for you through Gate 1!!! They take care of everything!
Italy is the worst place to drive and park!!!!!! Gate 1 did a nice job putting the self-drive trip together but the hotel selected in Tuscany, Grand Hotel Plaza in Montecatini Terme was a difficult place to park. We haven't been on our trip yet, and I'm still hoping that it will be wonderful, but customer service has been terrible. We are having a problem getting Gate1 to help us with flight reservations for our upcoming trip to Thailand. We received two emails from Korean Air telling us to call to get new seat reservations due to a plane change. But, when we called, the Korean Air agent said that we could not get new seat reservations until you reissue the tickets. I have taken several trips with gate one and liked them. I take 2 one month trips each year and us then as one of our trip providers. Then I booked a trip for my daughter and I to Peru which was about a little over a year out. It was unusual but in addition to the deposit they wanted the full amount for the air fare. Air fare was around $ 2,100.00 for the both of us so I paid it. Now anyone knows you can't buy tickets for air travel until about 10 months prior to departure. I can’t find enough words to express what a wonderful experience we had! We did the 9 day tour of Ireland. Our tour guide, Patrick was excellent! As was our driver,John. We didn’t want to come home!!
