I am a repeat customer and very pleased what I bought. Garden Goods Direct offered the less-common varieties I wanted that were unavailable locally. Both orders arrived within two days. The plants were ingeniously packaged to avoid damage and arrived in great shape - even the two plants the FedEx driver left on their sides. Place is terrible - just use ShrubBucket. They fulfilled part of the order, late, and with plants that were not clearly identified and looked to clearly be a different species than others that came identified. When contacted to send the missing plants and ensure the unidentified varieties were accurate, they could not confirm what plants they had sent but said they would send the ones that were missing. Awful. Will not give me a refund or call me back. I Spent extra and bought the one year guarantee on 3 hollyhock shrubs. They had root rot Fungus (when I got them they had a few spots on the leaves so I should have known) and turned black and died. I have left messages and emailed starting back in June and have only received one email saying that they would add my phone call to my other email complaint but no word on the refund or return. Avoid company at all cost. purchase a fiddle leaf tree & bought the delivery Insurance. the tree arrived with both leaves broken off. It had to have been shipped upside down for this damage to occur. we sent Garden direct messages and never received a word back
On May 24, 2020 I ordered 10 Leyland Cypress Trees from this company for $167.65. I called and cancelled order once I realized it was a bad company to do business with. I was told an e-mail would be sent once they will be shipped. On June 4, 2020 I had received no email of shipment, so I contacted Joey at the company. He assured me that I would get a full refund and stop the order. Truly a horrible Company. We purchase a red-bud tree & bought the delivery Insurance. the tree arrived with both vertical trunks broken off. It had to have been shipped upside down for this damage to occur. we sent Garden direct pictures, resent them and contacted them a third time before they got back to us with how to file a claim today, weeks later. The claim was denied for being outside the allowable time. Shysters. Don't spend your money here. Stephen Carr
