Awesome Experience – I had such an awesome experience with Fox! My husband and I just relocated from Arizona and don't know anyone here. WARNING!! to rent 1125 or 1133 SE 27th Salmon(Hawthorn) – BE WARNED!!! if you're looking to rent 1125 or 1133 S.E. 27th Salmon (Hawthorn) 97214; that both of those tenants have moved out because of the EXCRUCIATINGLY LOUD neighbor in the middle. Low business standards, website doesn't match reality. – For five years, the rep didn't get property improved. Probably had little contact with owners. After moving, I read their website. Read it. From this renter's experience a prospective rental owner might think twice about hiring them. Problem: too many units and not enough employees. If a rep gets a phone request, they sometimes refuse to call back for weeks or not at all! A rep answered my email about 9 mos. late. Seems like running the business on a tight budget.
This is not a property management company – Saw an online ad for a listed property w/an open house the next day. I link to Fox's website and there's a link to apply online. Great. We apply online and all pay 43 dollars each, there's three of us. Went to the house prior to this to view the exteriors, then went to the open house. The agent tells us we are "cheating" because we applied online first and we need to fill out more apps to actually apply. We have to go to the office to do this which closes in 45 mins. Friendly & Helpful – I was surprised to find the negative reviews I saw on here because I have had such a great experience with Fox. Some of them even sound like the same person over and over again making up new names. I have been renting my apartment for 2 years now, and have never had any problems with Fox. I have a 50lb dog and had a hard time finding a rental that would take pets over 20lbs, but Fox really worked to help find me a place. Long time customer is greatful! – I am a long time landlord and hired Fox years ago to handle my properties. I understand this business and know it can be quite challenging. Property managers are life coach/councelors, debt managers, babysitters of all different walks of life. I realized my time was more important than spending it on my rentals. I get great service, very pleased and a monthly check. Love it!
Worst Company Ever – the many ways that fox management let me down: 1. they lost the first set of keys i gave them and claimed i never gave them copies (which i did) 2. they showed up unannounced when i ask them to call ahead since my girlfriend was living there at the time and they showed up 20 minutes late to an appointment I happened to be there moving out so I showed the guy around and did there job for them in the middle of my move. 3. rarely if at all would they return my calls or give me updates as to how the rental p... read more

Cant Stand Them – These guys are the worst. When I applied for a house I gave them all my personal information and the rental fee. 20 minutes later I saw the property agent's car in the Fred Meyer parking lot he had my app sitting on the dash board in plain view. Anyone walking by could see my social security number etc... which made me very uncomfortable. After two weeks I called them and they told me they rented it to someone else. We do process the applications on a first come first serve basis. I am sorry that you were not the first applicant or if you were we do have a set screening criteria and if your app was denied then you did not meet the criteria. We do want to protect your informatiion as well.
What a Nightmare – If there was a property management company with serious, management-level problems in Portland, this is it. I felt responsible to post a comment about the poor experience we had with Fox because if we'd known before we signed our paperwork with them, what an outrageously POOR rental experience we were getting into, we definitely would have just kept looking.
