I’ve banked here for a long time but what I’ve found recently is that they don’t offer competitive rates. This is true across home loans, personal loans and even with the account types they offer. I was in a branch today and they wouldn’t even give me the rate on an HY account as I’m an existing customer and not a new customer. Seems like any business should focus on providing the best they can offer to their loyal clients. May consider moving all 4 accounts I have with them even considering the hassle. Disappointing to say ... read more

Something fishy is going on with their system and it appears they have manipulated it to not take payments so you will pay interest. If this has happened to me twice with FNBO, but never before in the 15 years I’ve had a BP card with the other providers. Also, not remembering more than on account online for payment is very suspicious as well.

Business response:

Andrew, we appreciate you taking the time to bring your concerns to our attention. When making payments online or via the mobile app, you will need to click the 'Submit', which will show you the payment information and prompt you to press 'Confirm'. If the payment is not confirmed, it will not post to the account. Please keep in mind, a payment scheduled before 5 PM CST on a business day will post the same day it is scheduled. A payment scheduled after 5 PM CST, but before the 11:59 PM CST cut-off time, or on a non-business ... read more

To start with, the customer relations representatives are rude. FNBO automatically lowers your posted usable limits without informing you in advance which left me on vacation without the funds I assumed I had. When asked why they did this without any missed payments their reply was because of information gathered at the credit bureau. I do have disputed claims at the credit bureau but that should not effect my card until they are resolved. I will be paying off my card and then cutting it up and going with another Credit card... read more

DO NOT GET A CREDIT CARD THROUGH THIS BANK!!! Terrible bank to do business with. My wife got scammed and they wouldn't remove the fraudulent charge. Operator on the phone even agreed with me, but stated there was nothing they could do. Told them to cancel both of the cards Inhad through them and they didn't even bat a eye. They lost $100's of business from me for $150 scam charge. How can you stay in business??? STAY CLEAR OF THIS BANK!!!!

FNBO has a Scheels store credit card where their payment site doesn't work. They make it difficult to make a payment in the hopes of scoring some late fees. Crappy business. Paying this card off so I can get rid of it.

Every time you make a payment online, they ask for payment source, instead of like everyone else have it static. So if you miss a number, they charge you $35. That is 100% free money for them, as the bank that refused the payment does not charge them anything. FNBO has it that way so you may make a possible mistake and rip you off.

Business response:

Paul, we are sorry to hear that our services do not meet your expectations, and appreciate you taking the time to bring your concerns to our attention. When making payments online, the most recently used payment information will be saved to your Online Banking profile. The only time payment information is removed is if a payment using a new routing and account number posts to your account, or you have contacted us to request that the saved information be deleted, which is usually the result of a returned payment. Per the ter... read more

I had a terrible experience with FNBO recently. I paid Expedia for services not provided. I disputed charges and was giving credit. But then bank had a nerve to charge me again for services I paid and was not provided . I called 3 times. Last one was a man who absolutely was agree with my situation but said they couldn't do anything. Before that I was simply disconnected. Most important first time I called- very rude women just told me several times you have to resolve your issue on your own and eventually hanged up on me. W... read more

I have their MGM world MasterCard credit card and randomly they will hold payments for 2 weeks before releasing credit. The money comes out of my bank the day I make the electronic transfer. FNBO can’t tell me why this occurs only that it is at their discretion. Told me that if I don’t like it, I should take my credit card business someplace else. I put $80k worth of charges on this card last year but I guess my business is not important to them. Avoid FNBO as they seem to run their business with contempt for the customer.
