Of course, we are not using our furnace yet and, therefore, are not able to judge how good the service really was. However, George seemed to know what he was doing, he was friendly, punctual, and courteous.

George was great to work with, did a great job and a fair price.

I think I saw some mixed reviews on them but called anyway and could tell right away they knew their stuff. I'm glad I had them out; they got the job done and were professional through and through.

During a home inspection, we discovered that the gas to the furnace was turned off. The inspector suggested we get an hvac tech out to inspect & clean the furnace. Fire and Ice provided the requested service and did a thorough review of the furnace and ac and discussed proper maintenance of the unit.

The person that came didn't seem to have that good of a knowledge of cooling and heating systems. He had problems even getting the cover back on the thermostat and the furnace. He didn't have the correct part so he asked if it would be OK to put in a fuse with a higher amp than was acceptable for the unit. He got agitated when I asked him about the cost of the part. I paid at the time of the work, and the next day I received an e-mail asking me to remit payment. I definitely wouldn't use this company again.

Business response:

I saved this lady from the heat on a Saturday. As soon as I quickly diagnosed her emergency situation and restored cooling, she didn't want to spend money on the work. I told her that she or her husband could go get the part and save money. But she opted to have me get the part. Also, she is confused about fuses. Most gas furnaces have 3 Amp fuses. Thus I stock that size. Her gas furnace takes a 5 Amp fuse which I don't always stock, so I had to go get one.

Unprofessional. Arrived 1/2 hour later than promised after calling to say would arrive within an hour (advised needed to stop and get "hamburgers"). Ultimatley arrived an hour after the LATE estimate originally given. TWO gentlemen arrived in non-company truck to diagnose my furnace. Common courtesy/manners were non-exsistent. When timliness was addressed, was given excuses rather than an apology. Horrendous. Will not hire this company again.

Business response:

Original appointment was for a broad arrival time of from 4:30 thru 7:30 pm[the broad e.t.a. should have told her that we couldn't be punctual to within 5 minutes on this particular evening]; called at about 6:30pm to say we needed to eat before we came over[note, at this point the client should have told us to not come if punctuallity was such an issue for her]. Originally, she was elated that I would come after hours so she wouldn't have to come home from work early. I didn't offer excuses at all, none where... read more

I hired this company to do an inspection and cleaning on my furnace basically because they were the first to call me and I didn't have time to search around. I am a busy mom and wished I would have searched around more. I had my furnace inspected and cleaned for $79. I was then told they needed to come back to clean the burner tubes and that would cost me an additional $100! Instead of having them back I was able to hire another licensed company to do a full inspection and tune up, which included cleaning the burner tubes fo... read more

Business response:

This self dubbed housewife is actually a landlord who didn't want to replace her furnace when the gas company was suggestiong that she replace the old obsolete ~70% efficient gas furnace. Her tenant had a high blood test for carbon monoxide exposure, and was still having headaches when I arrived. What does this landlord expect for $79.00? Update: this landlord actually had her whole furnace replaced by another HVAC company, thus she's not telling the truth above. The inspection for a "Reconnect Furnace" alone cost ... read more
