Fantastic Caverns

4.7

About this business

If the kids are bored with the video games and are yearning for something far from the ordinary, travel 35 minutes north of Branson to this spectacular underground chamber. Discovered in 1862 by a farmer's dog, these huge caverns are filled with stalactites and stalagmites. All tours take place on a guided jeep-pulled tram in order to preserve the natural features and each tour lasts about an hour. The underground temperature remains at or near 60 degrees, so dress appropriately.

The gift shop great. However for the price that we pay to get in was not worth it (those were the words of an eleven year old). I would have preferred walking through the cave. The cave itself was beautiful; I would rather have had time to walk around.

We stopped by Fantastic Caverns on a whim. What appealed to me the most was the team tour, mostly for the ease and convenience for people with mobility issues. Our tour guide, Dennis, was absolutely amazing! He allowed my mother and I to sit in the vehicle with him on the padded seats to ease the trip for my mom. The caverns were beautiful, and Dennis was beyond knowledgeable. He was funny and so considerate. Dennis never batted an eye and answered all the obscure questions the group had. I highly recommend Fantastic Caverns... read more

Our small group traveled from TX & LA to Branson and our trip to the caverns was one of our favorite excursions. The staff was very friendly. restrooms were clean & gift shop had very affordable selections. our tour guide Dennis was amazing and very knowledgeable! It was very pretty in the caverns, lots of information given during the tour and of course photo ops!

We had our first adventure to the Fantastic Caverns today!! We had so much fun and we had the absolute best tour guide. So much history to learn about this beautiful historical cave. I was in awe to learn that back in the 20’s it was actually a speak easy. Very cool. 5 stars all around!!🤩
