Fantastic Caverns

About this business

If the kids are bored with the video games and are yearning for something far from the ordinary, travel 35 minutes north of Branson to this spectacular underground chamber. Discovered in 1862 by a farmer's dog, these huge caverns are filled with stalactites and stalagmites. All tours take place on a guided jeep-pulled tram in order to preserve the natural features and each tour lasts about an hour. The underground temperature remains at or near 60 degrees, so dress appropriately.

My family and I just got done with the 12:50pm tour and although I enjoyed touring the cave, the tour guide could have done something to control the 3 drunk guys who were on our tour. They were obnoxious and loud and heavily intoxicated, showing disrespect to not only the people around them but also the cave formations. The tour guide did not make a peep in silencing them or asking them to leave. A tour guide is the person in charge and should have controlled the situation. At one point, I'm the one that had to tell them to ... read more

We really enjoyed our tour of Fantastic Caverns. The driving tour guides were very fun, friendly and educational. It was a great family activity for any age. The souvenir picture we received at the end of the tour was a great surprise, at no extra cost! I was sure we were going to have to pay extra for it like the amusement parks do. If you are in the area and trying to choose a cave to visit, definitely pick this one!

We had a great tour guide and a nice informative tour! If you are worried about social distancing I would suggest going early. We got there around 9am and only had two other people on our tour.

I cannot recommend this guide enough. It was awesome! Wonderful sights. Our guide (Brent) was great. Very knowledgeable and funny. Definitely kept us laughing. Both of my kids (13 &6) enjoyed it. It kept their attention. They have popcorn you can purchase and bring with you. It stays a nice 60 degrees in there so it was a nice break from the 95 degree weather outside. Will definitely do it again. You even get a picture (printed out) included with the package.

My family visited Fantastic Caverns and we were incredibly happy with our experience! The tour guide (Kylie) was very informative and the caverns were amazing and beautiful and we loved that we were able to ride through the caverns with our small children, rather than having to walk the entire length of the cave. We loved that they help preserve the natural beauty of this cave system. It’s very hard to find businesses, especially during these times, that respect medical and personal exemptions to policies that carry risks fo... read more

They're very rude and the cave is not worth the price they charged....

Great experience from start to finish. Educational and entertaining commentary provided in a magnificent natural setting. Well worth the trip, great value for all ages, including folks that can’t handle long walks or flights of stairs easily. Thanks Rich for the lectures and great conversation. And thanks to Kylie for the ride!
