If the kids are bored with the video games and are yearning for something far from the ordinary, travel 35 minutes north of Branson to this spectacular underground chamber. Discovered in 1862 by a farmer's dog, these huge caverns are filled with stalactites and stalagmites. All tours take place on a guided jeep-pulled tram in order to preserve the natural features and each tour lasts about an hour. The underground temperature remains at or near 60 degrees, so dress appropriately.

In my lifetime, I have visited many caves with my wife. We are in our 70's now and being able to ride through it made it possible for us to do this one. It is not the biggest cave we have visited, but it is beautiful and a great experience for the grandkids too.
We visited on Sunday morning, 7/28. There were just 8 guests in total on the tour trailer, and we had fun! It was very informative and all questions were answered. The ride along tour is carefully planned with stops at all the perfect picture spots. Although there are just a small number of bats in the cave, I have one in a video I took! We’ve been to 3 caves in Missouri, and definitely feel you learn new things and have a different experience at each one. Great experience for all ages!
I loved that they gave you a complimentary photo of your group in the jeep. Most places try to sell you the photos and it really meant a lot to my family that it was a gift to everyone. My whole family was looking at the camera, which doesn't happen often and it would have been hard not to buy the photo, but most places charge a lot for them. So THANK YOU Fantastic Caverns for giving everyone a free photo.
fue algo increible muy hermosso sali facinada de ai
Love this place! Will be back again
5 Stars all the way! Took our 5 Chihuahuas. We were on a road trip, we live in Louisville, KY. I had read all the great reviews about how dog friendly it was and they did not disappoint. We stopped and stayed a night in Springfield just to visit them. The tour guides were great, every part of the trip was great. Our dog Brutus absolutely loved it! The cave was just beautiful inside. Thank you Fantastic Caverns! — with Carl W Morehart II.
The cave and lighting make this trip one to enjoy. The history of the cave is interesting and your Tennessee fans say we had lights first in Dunbar cave in Clarksville. What a fun trip this was to visit Fantastic Caverns.
Went years ago and loved it very family friendly and just a great experience
Loved this place. went there July 2nd. Had a wonderful time. Our guide was Dennis. What a great guide he was. So much history and added things about the cave that was good to know. He worked the crowd before hand and. worked personal things into his talk. He paid attention to the kids to make it exciting for them too. We would do it again. Amazing
