Essig's techs are first rate - I have no complaints with any of them. My issue is with Essig's business practices. I have had 2 service issues over the last 2 years and both times I paid through the nose for parts. The last time I was charged almost $900 for a furnace control board (very low tech & available for under $100 retail from numerous sources). Justin was professional, knowledgeable, and a positive representative of Essig Plumbing and Heating. Photos were taken of the condition of the heating system and it was determined that we should replace the unit with a new system. They returned my phone call promptly, scheduled a visit that afternoon. Darrin texted before he came, was knowledgeable and friendly, and fixed the furnace right up. He let my husband watch over his shoulder.
I had a wonderful and timely response (on a weekend morning no less!) from the company, and Justin K was very helpful, took his time to assess and remedy a problem from the recent installation of our new system. He was professional and very competent. Thank you Justin!
We had a sewer line clog on late Friday afternoon and our regular plumber wouldn't come out until we had the septic tank pumped out first. No one would come to pump the tank. Meanwhile, water backed up into the basement apartment. We called Essig, and they came promptly on Saturday morning, cleaned out the sewer line and gave us great advice. We will be calling them in the near future for further help!
