I have been attempting to cancel my gym membership since the gym closed. In March, March 19th I spoke with the GM at my workout location, and followed up with an email asking to terminate membership for both my son and I. (My wife has an compromised immune system and I knew we would not be back in the gym) I was told the memberships would be terminated. On May 28th I was billed again for both my son and I - our monthly fees. I called and was told in a few days the fee would be refunded. It has not been refunded. Today, June ... read more

I’m leaving this review so hopefully someone at the corporate level making decisions and setting directives can get some insight. Based off my conversation with one of the GM at EOS fitness it is apparent that even at that level they are not giving their input, or discouraged from giving input, or just incompetent and inefficient in their role. I had to cancel my membership to EOS because I have cancer and am medically comprised, therefore I am quarantined. The want me to still pay for April through June even they were closed due to the Covid 19 lockdown. This is crazy!

*******, May I ask who stated you were paying for your membership during the months that we were closed. We did not charge anyone at all during that time nor are we retroactively charging members. We have been charged over $800 for personal training. When we signed our son up, this was NEVER discussed that it would be $98 every 2 weeks. They even continued to bill us when all the gyms were closed. I cancelled the membership on 3/23/20. Was NEVER told that they can't cancel a membership that has a contract attached to. They even admitted that they saw that I cancelled but no one ever follow up to tell me that it was not cancelled bcuz of the contract. To be fair it has a lot of nice equipment but there's no bigger deal-breaker than being told you're not going to be charged, and I'm being charged, and then having to wait 5 to 10 business days to get the money back that they were never supposed to take in the first place after you cancel your membership

The process to refund does take 8 to 10 business days as it is not immediate. It processes through our Member Services Department and then electronically sent to your bank which too applies some time to the refund before it appears on your account. I was charged a fee for the month I cannot use due to COVID-19 precautions per CDC.ORG. I emailed Josh W. for a refund. He said he will take care of it when the gym re-opens. Since its opening day, I have been in correspondence with Josh W. Again, he said he will reach out to corporate. A few days passed, never heard back from Josh W. I emailed him again a few more times. No response. It's been weeks, and not a word. Maybe this, and a filing a complaint will help me get my 9.99 refund.

Horrible customer service considering the COVID-19 pandemic and how it has impacted EOS members financially. I called the Tatum location to cancel my membership after my email was not answered. I was greeted by a rude young receptionist who was laughing multiple times on the phone talking to another employee while asking me to repeat myself because she was not paying attention. I was told to call a 1 800 number, I explained my situation and asked to cancel and if any charges could be waived as I have just lost my job to COVI... read more

Web site states that 2-3pm is reserved for seniors. No enforcement. 95% of customers during that hour are under 35. Coronavirus is serious for those over 55. If not going to fulfill promise, then remove from web site. Creating a false sense of security.

EOS Gym Scottsdale at the Northsight location is not following its established protocol for its members during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The staff do wear masks but are not watching to make sure those working out are social distancing. They are not aware of people using equipment and not spraying with disinfectant and wiping down after use. They offer a 2:00 - 3:00 PM for Senior Citizens but do not provide care of even concern about this vulnerable demographic's well-being. Perhaps this is because the staff are young and vital ... read more
