With only traditional IRAs in my portfolio, I wanted to follow my love for renovating houses and found self directed IRAs to be the solution to the Chloe needed while building my wealth. As a novice at self directed investments, Equity Trust could not have been more patient and supportive in helping me set up my account and navigate through my first property settlement transaction and on an ongoing basis paying contractors and the like. Great company with tremendous support. I've been with Equity Trust Company for about 8 years and I've successfully kept my retirement balance at a somewhat level value with rental property investments while withdrawing $1500/month to supplement my SS retirement income. I would have lost my "Butt" if I had stayed with a typical retirement fund. They continue to update their programs for investors which gives them a 5 star rating in my book.
