To have the option to invest my IRA funds my way is awesome. To have a custodian with investment structure and oversight that is approved by the IRS makes it legal. Equity Trust Company is just the ticket for my 401K rollovers. I already had one retirement asset with Equity and a family member suggested opening my own self-directed IRA, to allow me a more "hands-on" approach for investing . I opened a self-directed IRA with Equity and I am using the account for purchase of home for rehab. I find Equity staff to be prompt, efficient and very professional. Equity has met all of my requests in a timely and efficient manner and I couldn't be happier with Equity services.

These people are opportunistic crooks. They "create" items and processes which they then use to charge you fees, before even starting the process of issuing your funds back to you. You may think all things are going along fine, while they're holding your investments, until you try & get your money transferred into another IRA account.

My husband and I have IRA investments with Equity Trust Company. We recently sold one of our assets, and we found ETC’s representatives very knowledgeable, helpful and patient in guiding us through the process. We are senior citizens, and appreciate their respectful explanations and communications, making this a very positive experience for us.

I have worked with two IRA custodians, so there is a basis for comparison. For each transaction, ETC has assigned an individual to collect documents and process funds - it has been seamless. We have done about 17 loan transactions since last summer, and in each instance, the documents were approved and funds delivered on time. Fees are transparent and reasonable.
