I would never support in any way a hospital that denies treatment to a patient because of a family member's criminal status LET ALONE a 2 year old awaiting a life saving kidney transplant. Shame on you, Emery. If your core values are caring and compassion and treating each person with respect, you will immediately move forward with this child's kidney transplant from his father.

These people working in this place are denying a toddler a kidney transplant that may save his life because of his father's arrest record! STUPIDITY!!! They are willing to let a child die - because of his father's arrest record? There should be minus stars; I'd give this place 100 minus stars. I just cancelled my primary care services and specialty services from Emory, I had been an Emory associated patient since 2002. No more of my dollars, or Blue Cross/ Blue Shield money going to Emory.
Your "professionals" took the oath to help and to serve; I guess we should start calling it the "Hypocritical Vow" instead, since you're racist enough to let a black baby die just to spite his father. I don't have words for how badly you've failed at your one and only job.

denying a 2 year old a life saving treatment over a probation violation on the father is ridiculous. it is insane that a 2 year old gets to suffer because of something he had no control over.
My husband Mike scared me to death with extreme weakness and dizziness on our way to the airport. I thought he was having a stroke. Emory was the closest facility cable of handling stroke symptoms. The ER team mobilized in seconds and a team of about 10 doctors and nurses were in his room within a few minutes administering tests.
