I'm interested to see where in your rules and regulations you're disallowing a perfect familial donor for a kidney for a suffering child, because of misdemeanors by the donor? Is such behaviour likely to be transmitted to the kidney and thus the child? Was the child culpable in the father's crimes? Was it a condition of the father's punishment that he wouldn't be able to donate a kidney to his son? Oh sorry, it must be that Emory Hospital is now part of the US Penal system? No? Then give the kid the transplant and show some ... read more

Disgusting that you would deny a child a life saving transplant for no valid reason. Shame on you being in the field you're in and you can still fail this baby. Your job is healthcare Not probation compliance get yourselves together and DO your job.

You are not God, to decide who's child does or doesn't deserve life. Stop being racist, do the right thing, and let the little boy live.

A hospital that is shame based. This is a place that has no interest in 'do no harm'. I hope you are sued and you loose your accreditation. You would not be doing this to AJ Dickerson if he were a white child. You have no credible or reliable reason to deny treatment on the base of prison sentiment of the parent. The father came in and was ready - and you turned him away. May God have mercy on your heartless souls. You'll be forced to answer for your sins.

You have no right to call yourselves a hospital anymore. What - an innocent child gets the - death sentence - (that is what you just did, in fact) because the father did something???? Beyond shame on you - so glad I do not live in your area. Such evil creepy people, wow.

I have nothing but good things to say about the quality of care I got from the doctors, nurses, and staff. I have been to both Emory on Clifton Rd. and the Midtown location, and I had a great experience at both locations. My oncology nurses and doctors were the best. My surgery team was the best. All were very friendly and caring people. I've been to other Atlanta area hospitals, and none had the level of care that Emory has.

Just read the story of the two year old's transplants being delayed because of the father's past. What a sad example of a hospital. Get your priorities straight, this should be about the little boy.

FIRST DO NO HARM IS THE FIRST RULE OF MEDICINE. But please kill an innocent child and payout the mother and let murderers get healthcare there. Makes SO MUCH SENSE! You should be ashamed!
