Shame on you for risking a 2 year olds life because his dad made a mistake. You are a bad and uncaring, HEARTLESS, hospital staff.
If Emory Hospital denies the kidney transplant a 2yr old boy needs who's father is a 110 percent match for because of a probation violation and they are forced to wait 3 months and this child dies that make them MURDERERS! Furthermore, a teaching hospital who does this is sending a message to the medical students that they are giving an education to and their residents that letting a 2yr old die is alright! YOU PEOPLE NEED TO LOSE YOUR ACREDIDATION! I AM GETTING IN TOUCH WITH JOINT COMMISSION MYSELF!
I'm simply thankful that I never have to cross the threshold in a hospital that puts the life of a small boy in jeopardy because of the mistakes and poor decisions of his father. You are a disgusting group of people to do this! A life is at stake and to you, he may just be another number in the donor program, but to his mother and family members, he's a sweet little boy who deserves every opportunity to thrive! I don't understand how you sleep at night.
Please reconsider AJ Buress's case. His father's parole status has nothing to do with whether he should get a kidney transplant!
Refusing to save a child because of his fathers actions is one of the most despicable things I have seen in my life.
I think you are not doing your job in saving lives when you choose to allow a child to suffer and possibly die because of the mistakes of his father. That is wrong!! His fathers choices, criminal record or anything has nothing to do with him being a match to give his son his kidney to save his life!!! That child's life is more important than your stupid protocol of prolonging something that could potentially kill the child. Do y'all really want that blood on your hands and have that on your conscience???! Save that child!! Wh... read more
Denying a child a lifesaving transplant because his father and diner may have violated probation? Horrific. I guess it isn't about saving lives here.
They would rather let a toddler suffer than accept an organ donation from his father who is a 100% match due to the donor’s criminal history. Apparently that makes the child worthless to them.
After reading about your refusal to give a 2 year old a kidney transplant that is a 100% match because the donor, his father, violated probation. . . I find your hospital practices and policies to be despicable. Check yourselves. Your decision making should be about saving lives not withholding care that has nothing to do with endangered life at hand. #despicableemoryuniversityhospital
