Wow I can't believe you guys are willing to chance this child dying. Like what does his criminal record have to do with him not making sure everything with his recovery goes right. It's just absurd to think that bc he has a criminal record. Do the right and let the father donate.

Wow, the focus should be on saving AJ Burges life letting his Dad give him a kidney. If it was your kid, you'd want the same thing. Have a heart and don't focus on the fathers other issue (s). I don't think a hospital gets to choose to discipline the father when the child had nothing to do with the fathers recent circumstance. America begs you to do the right thing!

Tell us again why you would put a child’s life at stake over a parole violation.

How could you let a little boy deny because his father made life mistakes! What does donating a kidney to his son have to do with his criminal status!!!! Horrible institution! You are heartless monsters who should be ashamed!

Putting a child's life in danger is not good patient care. This hospital should be shut down and the people responsible for endangering the child should be put in prison.

I can't believe this outrageous behavior from health professionals. The point of health care is to either save lives or do our best to make clients recover, not be the reason why people die. This place needs to be shut down or they need to redo there administration laws.

Any hospital that is willing to let a kid die because management does not like his father should be shut down.

As a living kidney donor I understand that you're required to act as an advocate for both the recipient and the donor. I also know that living donors have some long-term requirements around reporting health information so we can all be better informed about any potential risks to living donors. You are meeting your advocacy requirements for the father and utterly failing to meet your requirements for the child. Your decision to delay the transplant means you're willing to risk a child's life to satisfy a concern that the fat... read more
