Don't let the little boy die that needs a kidney transplant, I can'nt believe there is even an issue about letting his dad donate or letting the little guy die. What the hell is wrong with you people.

I hold a BSN from Emory NHWSON and am currently pursuing my MSN in the school. I am shocked and appalled that the hospital would apply such a discriminatory and absurd requirement to a donor who wants to save the life of his child. There are no medical reasons to delay this transplant. Don't teach your students to address the social determinants of health while you deny a transplant to a 2-year-old boy for purely social reasons. Shame on Emory Healthcare.

I really cannot believe you are denying this child his father's lifesaving kidney. I lost my 20 month old grandson in 2011 and he saved two children's lives through organ donation. No, you are taking the way the life of this little boy. What better behavior for the father to exhibit than giving his son his kidney. It's awful You want to wait three months of good behavior and possibly kill this little boy. My heart breaks for him and his family. My heart is hurting that you would do this. You took an oath to save lives. Do no... read more

I hope your foolish decision doesn’t cause your mortality rate to increase. Shut your doors if your doctors can’t uphold the Hippocratic oath.

One star for burying the Hippocratic oath. Where is your decency?

I think that Emory Hospital is full of shit. They will let the life of a child expire because they don't like the history of a volunteer donor. What has happened to "Do No Harm"?

Seriously, you need evidence of good behavior from Mr. Dickinson in order to allow him to give his Child a KIDNEY? I would say the sheer fact he wants to donate his Kidney to his beautiful little boy is all the evidence you would need. I'm disappointed that a hospital such as yours with which operated normally under core values is failing this little boy. He needs that Kidney what is wrong with you all. If that child dies it is totally on you for denying him every opportunity for a life saving operation. SHAME ON YOU he is a... read more
