Mom graduated from Emory University many years ago, BSN (Nursing) degree and had a very successful career in public health. After family consultation, we cannot in good conscience leave an estate gift to Emory - as we had previously considered. So if doing the right thing by an infant needing a kidney isn't an incentive, maybe the loss of money will be. Color our family: Disgusted.

Are you really going to let a child die? This is unconscionable.

It is despicable and disgusting that you would allow a child to die. You are violating the hypocratic oath to do no harm. To take out your own hatred of an adult on a child is deplorable and your hospital administration should be fired!!! This is murder and I hope it stays on your conscious.

Absolutely DISGUSTING that you would call denying a transplant to a toddler a "communication breakdown." Get real! HE'S A CHILD and your refusal to act and subsequent non-apology is a disgusting display of just how much you value profit and bureaucracy over the lives, health and wellbeing of your patients. SHAME!

Willingness to allow a child die because the donor hasn't shown appropriately 'good behavior' is a moral travesty. It shows lack of compassion, critical thinking and smacks of a direct violation of your Hippocratic Oath. Shame on you. Shame on you all.

Shame on Emory University Hospital for punishing an innocent child in need of a kidney transplant. Focus your energy on saving the life of this innocent child and not on judging his father; the only viable donor! Very disappointing.
