I went to the ER on Sunday with flu like symptoms. They immediately put me in a room and started drawing blood and administering fluids. They wanted to rule out meningitis and suggested doing a lumbar puncture, which has a small possibility of minor side effects. The lumbar puncture was performed by someone who shouldn't have performed it. The procedure took him about 20-30 mins. But its hard to find parking for patience why... Elmhurst hospital need to figure that out . Hope to find parking again .. over all my doctor and stuff are great and love the atmosphere in the hospital help every where.. and thats great... Well see if it keep that kind and concern over any body that going there or just visiting. But as far as I see Great atmosphere.. Great Job Elmhurst hospital! Dr. And stuff.
My ex sister in law brought her husband there and sat in ER waiting room over 3 hours and still didn't get seen. Got angry and left there and went to GlenOaks Hospital and the poor man died there before being able to perform emergency surgery. What a shame that someone had to die because of staff poor decisions and not getting him the attention he needed immediately.
My husband was in yesterday for a procedure, we sll have our issues with hospital visits, but the friendly a helpful people at Elmhurst have always made us as comfortable as possible

I can't say a 5 because all hospitals are not perfect. I came in with my daughter and she had massive pains right side of stomach. We checked in and right away got her Vidal's check and waiting for a room. I do understand that ERs are very busy and we had to wait for a room to be cleaned. My daughter was in the ER for 4 hours with altra sound and other tests. She went into surgery right away for Appendices. Everything and including the operations was quick and easy.
