Suffered a tendon injury while working on my boat in the fall , was very concerned that I would not be back at it this spring. Dr Wellens was Great ! She was very well informed and so sweet. Highly recommend
Had an ankle sprain that wasn’t healing after a month. Dr. Wellens said she wasn’t concerned because it could take up to 6 weeks to heal. A few weeks later, no healing and follow up appointment told by Dr. Wellens she wasn’t concerned because it could take 6-8 weeks to heal. Later she said not to trust what I read or hear and changed it to taking up to 6 months to heal...for a mild ankle sprain! Very informative .
Dr. Wellens is friendly, timely and always takes the time to really listen to her patients. I have seen her for plantar fasciitis and she helped me return to normal activities quickly!

I was hit by a skateboarding man on December 5th @ 16th & Market during evening rush, who injured my right ankle to where it looked like a golf ball. I went to urgent care the next day but they suggested RICE. Two weeks later I went to Dr. Wellens because the swelling had not gotten better and pain was increasing up my leg. Urgent care didn't see it, and her med student didn't see it. But Dr. Wellens saw the avulsion fracture on my x-rays & physical exam.
