Took really good care of me when I was in a lot of pain. Very professional and knowledgeable. It is nice when you find a doctor who actually cares about your well being!
A couple months ago Dr. Wellens saw me immediately after I had an accident and fractured my foot. I was sooo nervous about surgery but she answered all my questions and then some and made me feel much more comfortable. Everythjng went well and I feel awesome! I would recommend her and will come back in future.
I brought x-rays with me and she didn't even look at them while I was in her office. She said she'd look at them later. I was still in a lot of pain so I sought a second opinion from a Rothman foot/ankle dr. He shared the x-ray results with me during my visit. My bone was so out of alignment which was why I was in so much pain when I walked. I left with a foot brace which immediately helped me to walk without hobbling.
I have had two similar foot operations for the same issue before I went to Dr.Wellens. I was still in pain after the second surgery and the tumors grew back. After being referred to Dr.Wellens and having her do my 3rd surgery, the difference was amazing. The pain was minimal compared to the first two operations and my foot is feeling way better much sooner than the previous surgeries. She made me feel comfortable and I can honestly say that she's earned my trust. Highly recommended***
