I'm a big proponent of VA healthcare. I've been treated well and I'm grateful. What annoys me-no, what pisses me off are the gatekeepers. The ones that check you in or make appointments-they act as if they are doing you a favor and it's such an inconvenience to assist fellow vets. In my humble opinion, they should be smiling and making sure that the vets feel appreciated. If they don't like the job,feel free to go elsewhere. Went for our first VA appointment for caregiver application and Mrs. Dudley our social worker and her Team were very nice , The process was smooth . Big Thank you. I've heard so many bad stories but my experience was wonderful!
I missed my appointment for my breathing and oxygen because I had back surgery twice within 30 days so the VA cut my oxygen supply off no deliveries. So can you please arrange to have all the tanks picked up I can do without . Thanks
I have had trouble getting a pain medication refilled for almost 1 year now. I have worked with the patient advocate, my PCP team, and the pharmacy sup with-in that time frame. Nothing. Has. Changed. I still fight every 30-Days to get refilled. Who do you have to talk get a prescription refilled in a timely manner?! My most current Rx is >18 Days since last request.
I took my dad today to get his hearing aids and they told me I had picked them up last Thursday. I told them it was impossible since I was working! Long story short, they lost or gave my dad's hearing aids to someone else. They're going to be reordred and will arrive in another 2-3 weeks. I'm very disappointed.
The people was great but it felt like the people weren't listening to the issue at hand left feeling it was a waste of time.

My experiences at the VA has been exceptional. No complaints here.
Some ppl are cool and actually do their jobs there but I see so many ppl taking breaks when they not even working. They make you sit there and wait and wait then you see for the past 30+ minutes they weren't doing shit to start with. Ugh!
