I have had two hips replaced and one knee replaced. Dr. Bugbee and his team are the best at doing these surgeries and I feel lucky at having the surgeries done by him. He is in demand so there is a wait before you can get your surgery scheduled. He is worth waiting for.! Thanks Dr. Bugbee and your team!
Dr. Bugbee, his Fellows, and the entire team are truly amazing providers. I had a procedure in 2018 and bilateral knee replacements with this team in 2024, and I have zero complaints. From the initial appointments to the procedures, hospitalization, and follow-up care, it was all top-notch.

Dr. Bugbee has been my knee doctor for about 20 years. We finally agreed to go ahead with a total knee replacement after all other therapies had been exhausted and the pain was beginning to affect daily activities. At this point I'm 6 months post op with good ROM (0-121 deg) and I am playing golf several times a week. Looking forward to getting back to playing ice hockey in about 5-6 months. Dr. Bugbee and his team are San Diego's best. My wife is a Doc in the Scripps system herself and he is widely renowned. All the Physical Therapists know his results are a cut above. Very satisfied with my knee replacement and the high tibial osteotomy I had 6 years before.
Excellent, I am very satisfied with pre-surgery prep, surgery experience, and post-surgery recovery, though it has taken more time than I originally thought.
I had the best care with Dr. Bugbee and his team of fellows, nurses, PA's and just everyone who worked so hard to make sure my knee replacement went well. Dr. Bugbee is an outstanding surgeon and my scar is barely visible 6 months in. I highly recommend Dr. Bugbee to anyone seeing the best TKR.
I had a total knee done in the fall. I had one side done in Feb and this was the other side. Both episodes were great. Not only is he an excellent orthopedist but his whole team is top notch.

Dr Bugbee and all of his staff and partner surgeons are absolutely incredible. I had a hip replacement in August and am now able to walk 2+ miles. The care was great but even better was how prepared I felt for the surgery. They anticipate every question and us the Force app that includes everything you need to know for before and after surgery.
