We arrived late in the evening last night. After being in the car all day, we were excited to get checked in and go relax. When we walked in the lobby the front desk agent “Kevin” was messing around and chatting with another front desk agent. It took about a minute and a half for him to even realize we were there. When he did acknowledge us he rolled his eyes and we felt as if we were inconveniencing his fun. We gave him our name and he realized we are Diamond members. Unfriendly night shift front desk staff
We booked through hotwire and our reservation clearly states that parking is $22 per day. The hotel refuses to honor it, and we're being forced to pay $30 per day. We booked for 3 nights, non refundable, so we have no choice but to pay it. I contacted Hotwire and was told it was up to Doubletree to honor it or not. That basically gives the hotel free reign to charge what they please for parking. That is bad business in my opinion. Seriously displeased with service and response to complaint.

Excellent customer service. Great location. Clean rooms. Check in was quick and easy.
Quiet rooms with plenty of space. Check-in was a breeze. Oh! The chocolate chip cookies are amazing.
The staff was courteous and most helpful in many ways, I really will refer friends and family to this gem in the jewel of San Diego’s historic district
