Terribly misleading not only do they charge above market rents and hidden fees, but you also have to pay a substantial amount to purchase your home back from them (20% on average after the first 18 months). You cant even assign the contract and theres no benefit to buying with them - its actually a really bad investment. Stay away and save your money!

Business response:

Hi *******, we're sorry to hear your experience wasn't great, but also understand if our program isn't the right fit for you. Please feel free to reach out to ********************************** with any questions.

Ive gone around in circles with this company for weeks! Ive provided every puce of documentation possible. Im more than income qualified. They didnt look at the documents! I finally spoke to a human and she put a ticket in. Im still getting the same response because I took a new job and promotion with a huge raise! Ive provided a year of paystubs, bank accounts and so on!

Business response:

Hi ********, we apologize if our communication with you was subpar during your application. We would be more than happy to organize a call with a member of our team if youre interested in continuing your application. Please feel free to reach out to ********************************** and we can get that set up.

They are working with ************************. They only approve you enough to buy a run down home that they wont approve of because it needs renovations. They are a scam. People who cant a loan the conventional way, this would of been an option but its not. American is the land of the scammers! If your low-income or just have bills basically dont live here!

Business response:

Hi Tila, were sorry if your experience working with us hasnt been great. We evaluate each customers financial situation and build them a budget, but we also have minimum budgets per metro area to ensure we can purchase quality homes that can pass a rigorous inspection. If Divvy isnt the right fit for you right now we completely understand, but please feel free to get in touch with your Divvy Advisor if youd like additional support.

This is not a user-friendly company. I asked for my application to be withdrawn. Have yet to hear back from an actual person. Have placed blocks on my credit accounts because of their actions, I would not recommend.

Business response:

Hi JL, we can confirm that your application has been closed and see that our team followed up to let you know. Please feel free to reach out to us at ********************************** if you need any additional support.

This company is a joke they pre approve you than get your info send you out to look at house than say on not approved .They lie and make hard inquiries on your credit run stay away from them.

Business response:

Hi *******, we took a look at your application and can see that youre now home shoppingcongratulations! Our application process begins with a check to see if youre pre-qualified, and then we ask for additional details to get you fully approved. We dont recommend starting your home search until you are conditionally or fully approved, as this is when well finalize your budget. We also double-checked and we did not run a hard credit check on your application, so you should see no impact to your score.

Divvy homes has terrible communication and processes in place. They led my husband and I to believe we were both pre-approved which we were very excited about! However, after our initial pre-approvals and trying to get our applications merged (because their system did not do that when we applied as co-applicants) it was a whole ordeal. The whole time we can only communicate with someone by TEXT because no one answers the line. At this time we were told our apps could not be merged because there was a gap in my husband's inco... read more

Divvy denied me and my fianc due to a 20 year old felony conviction of my fianc for delivery of a controlled substance. He was very young at the time and made a mistake and has already paid his debt to society. He is now a supervisor at a well known manufacturing plant and also works a part time job at another well known production plant. I have heard of places not accepting felons if the conviction was within 5, 7 or even 10 years but NEVER in my life 20 years! No one should have to pay for or be denied for anything due to ... read more

Business response:

Hi Kiyonna, were sorry to hear that we couldnt approve you and your fiance for our program at this time. We can see our team mentioned our appeals process, and we definitely invite you to submit that additional information if you are still interested in our program. Please reach out to us at ********************************** or contact your previous Divvy Advisor.

The worst home buying pre approval experience I have EVER seen. Got approved right after them. They only use Experian for a soft pull without even knowing your true credit. I'm in the mortgage business so not making this up.

Business response:

Hi ***** thanks for giving us that feedback. Since Divvy buys homes for our customers, our underwriting process looks a little different than that of a mortgage lender. For reference, we look at customers FICO 2, FICO 9, and Vantage 4 scores. However, we do look at our customers financial history and health and take into consideration their likelihood to be pre-approved for a mortgage in the future, as our goal is to make every customer a homeowner. If you have questions about this process and would like to learn more, pleas... read more

I was initially impressed with DIVVY until I got into my home. Based on several maintenance requests I submitted, (mostly for structural issues) it became apparent that they were not going to fix anything. I was given one lame excuse after another. When I couldn't get into my driveway without building a ramp, I was told that they wouldn't fix it based on the age of the home and my location. I was also not given the key to my back doors, which I didn't realize until I got locked out. I had to pay a locksmith to get in and mak... read more

Business response:

Hi *********, were sorry to hear about your experience. We want to assure you that our goal is always to help our customers find a quality home that will be a sound investment for years to come. We work with highly skilled inspectors who evaluate each home in detail to ensure theyll pass another inspection when our customer goes to buy it back.
