The process was quick applied on a Tuesday and received a response by Friday morning. **************** was friendly. Only things I do not like is the fact that process is not as simple as they advertised. They advertise 1-2% down payment. The down payment actually is 1-2% of purchase cost of the home. Then before move in they want you to pay prorated rent and full first months which was not advertised in the process. Majority homes I submitted for that I wanted they denied. ******* housing market is very pricey and saturated... read more

Business response:

Hello, thanks for leaving us this feedback. We try to educate all customers about our prorated rent and initial home savings contribution (or down payment) requirements but appreciate that these may not have been made clear to you. We were unable to find your application in our system so we arent able to speak to your specific budget, but we do have minimum budgets per metro area that ensure our customers are able to find move-in-ready homes that will be a sound investment. If you have any questions or would like to speak wi... read more

Paid deposit, prorated rent and ******* money and divvy canceled the contract due to the home needing renovation. I asked for a refund and am still waiting for it a month later.

Business response:

Hi *******, we took a look and can see that we refunded your payments in question and that our team has been in touch about next steps. Please feel free to reach out to your Divvy Advisor for support!

I would give -5 stars if I could. The "agent" they had me working with, ******* out of *********, was INCREDIBLY rude. I cannot even comprehend how someone like that is employed. After telling them I wasn't interested anymore after finding out how CRAZY the costs are, she came back implying I was stupid for "not reading the **** and when I told her I didn't want to buy back a house for almost $30k over what it's worth (on a $120k home, which they "have experts who pre-calculate" the appreciation value and it's in the contrac... read more

Business response:

Hi *******, thank you for flagging this to us. We apologize for the tone of the text message you received. We expect our Divvy Advisors to be helpful and courteous, even if a customer like yourself is no longer interested. Our pricing does include modest appreciation of the homes value. We carefully monitor pricing and sales trends in each of our metro areas and calculate buyback pricing based on what weve seen in the area. We also offer two buyback prices, one at 18 months, and one at 36 months. We understand if the program... read more

I applied for a Home have 44,000$ after the sale of my home. It took Divvy over a week to respond to my application saying they are denying me because of Debt to income. I sent in 5 emails with my number asking someone to call me. No calls or emails back. If I have the money and my debt is only 7000$ why would I be denied. If I make over 18$ an hour. Bad company, horrible service, incompetent people.

Business response:

Hi *****, we apologize if your experience hasnt been great so far. We took a look at your account and can see that our team has been in touch about your application and next steps. Please feel free to reach out to us at ********************************** if you need additional support!

I’ve had the WORST experience working with Divvy. I will not be referring my friends and family! They will waste your time. If you call them, they will give you the run around and say someone will call to assist you and you will NOT be called. The text instead of call... what kind of company does that??! I got pre-approved and after sending all of my documents, they approved me for only $100,000 in TEXAS!!!!! I can’t even buy a DOLL HOUSE with that budget!!!!!! I sent all of my income and make well over $5,000 and should’ve ... read more

Divvy has left a bad taste in my mouth. They kept moving the move in date back, had to sign the lease 4 different times and the amounts were never correct. When we called to ask about this they said that all the money we paid was received it just didn't reflect the lease but to go ahead and sign or we wouldn't get the keys. No one will ever call you back no matter how many times you ask. They turned what supposed to be an exciting time into a stressful nightmare.

Business response:

Hi *******, we apologize for the changing move-in dates and understand how stressful that *** have been. Delays can happen during the closing process, and in this case, it looks like there were HOA and code violations that the seller needed to address. Its important that these items are resolved to protect your future purchase of the home. We took a look and can see that you connected with someone from our team about this and that you have officially closed on your home. Please dont hesitate to reach out to our team for any ... read more

I was trying to purchase a home in DFW but with the limited time I have to work with and with the market being such a Seller's market and people willing to more than 30 plus thousands over the asking price. I realize now is not the best time for us to purchase. But if I tell you for the state of Texas Divvy is ******on the spot. I've had the pleasure of working with ******* ********who responded to me after hours he followed up with all my questions. I pulled out for now only because I got tired of being out bid and didn'twa... read more

Business response:
