Divvy Homes is as close to being a scam as one could get. They give you an approved amount but once you search and find a home in the price that you're so called approved for, then Divvy offer the seller *****k lower than the sellers asking price with no negotiations. What kind of mess is that? That's just like an automobile dealer approving you and then telling you to go on the lot and find a car between a 2018-2020, fewer than 10k miles, when they know there's no such thing. This program is a joke! Every, I mean "EVERY" ho... read more

Thank you for taking the time to provide us feedback. Wed love to share some information on our bidding strategy and how we determine a competitive offer price. Divvy looks at number of factors including:- Comparable nearby homes and recent sales in the area - ***** from our partner agents on the ground - Constant monitoring of market trends and dynamics - Our teams valuable knowledge of the home buying market In consideration of these inputs, were able to determine the fair market value of the home and create a bidding stra... read more
Ive had a wonderful experience with Divvy! We were able to close on a home in a month from start to finish. Though Divvy doesnt have a direct customer service phone number, communication was always consistent via email. I will definitely be recommending this program to people who arent comfortable to buy a house yet and want to learn the processes.
Business response:
We're happy we could assist. Thank you for the review!
*************************** Wed, 11/30/22 4:37 am Message: We expected better from Divvy Homes because we had heard better. The initial process was quick the home needed minor repairs and once we moved in they took care of some of them but we moved in ,in the summer time. Now it's going on winter and we didn't know the upstairs didn't have any heat since it was central air and heat unit. But no heat or air goes upstairs and that we're my kids sleep. We've been trying to get in touch with them and no response. Now that we've ... read more

Hello, we want to ensure our customers are living in safe homes that will last a lifetime, so were sorry to hear about these issues. However, we do not see this email address listed as a current tenant. We've reached out for more information.
I signed my rental lease on 11/5. When I arrived to the home the house was unlocked and doors were open. It was filthy. Bird p*** on the inside of all of the living room windows. Inches of dust on light fixtures. I was only provided a key to open only one of six different locks at the house. The bathroom door is completely missing. I put in a maintenance request that has still not been responded to. I have multiple unanswered emails, calls and texts. I did not move into the home until 11/20 so I was not aware of all of the i... read more

Hello ****, thank you for letting us know. Were sorry to hear about this. We are reviewing your concerns and will reach out to you directly to resolve the matter.
All in all, I can say that Divvy has gotten 2 of my clients in a home in less than a year. Ive had many clients sign up and most did not get approved or were given such a low budget that it didnt make sense for them to continue with the program. Yes, you have to stay on them as far as communication goes but I am willing to be patient because I know they are short staffed and going through changes. My overall experience has been good. I usually get in contact with very polite customer service agents. Yes, the hold times are l... read more

Hello *****, thank you for the feedback! We're happy we could assist with getting your clients into a home. We want to ensure our customers are living in safe homes that will last a lifetime, so were sorry to hear about the repairs not being completed. Please ask your client to submit work orders for any outstanding repairs and send an email to us. We'll get them the support they need.
No accountability, poor communication and need to learn more about different markets and not assume all markets are the same as the *******************. My agent had issues with their app, shut down often, extremely long wait times and lack of communication with her as well. I am honestly shocked I made it to closing, which is the only reason I gave two stars. A 50% occupancy rate is not something to aim for.
Business response:
Hello ********, congratulations on the close of your home and thank you for the feedback. We're sorry your experience wasn't the best. We are working on improving our response times to better serve our clients and agents while we are experiencing an increase in volume.
Terrible program! They advertise that they are willing to help you only to deny you!
Business response:
Hello *******, we're sorry we could not approve your application at this time. We do have minimum requirements to receive the home shopping approval. Your applicant portal will show why your application was declined and our support team can assist with any questions you may have.
Great experience! Everything ran smoothly and we purchased the house after only 13 months. I would highly recommend Divvy to anyone!
Business response:
Hello ********, congratulations on the purchase of your home! We're happy we could assist in your home buying journey.
There's no communication with Divvy home at all whatsoever. This company sets you up to fail. You have too many people handling cases and nobody knows what's going on or they give you false information. The day of closing they ask for $3,500 more for to pay the first month's rent I pay the first month's rent and now they're saying I owe for response rent.
Business response:
Hello, we apologize for any confusion presented on our end. The down payment is due the day the offer on the home is accepted. Your first month's rent is due seven days before closing and the rental payments are due on the first of each month. Our payments team is currently in contact with you and will be able to assist with any questions you may have.
Divvy Homes has a 3.3 star rating with 665 reviews.
