Unfortunately, I fell into the trap that multiple others have done... I selected the 11$ monthly and was instantly charged 119$, but I was not prompted to a confirm charge or page displaying my total.. I was just instaneously charged, I'd change the review if customer service would get back to me in the 24 hour range they gave... Or even got back to me with my refund for I have not looked at any solutions.

I must have read it wrong, but unfortunately I purchased the 11$ monthly account but was charged 119.40$ for the entire year there was no confirmation of total before the charge went through and now it has been 24 hours and I have not heard back.. I would just like my money back.

I signed up for this service based on two factors: sign up for $9.95 and quit anytime. The trick is that the $9.95 rate is based on signing up for a year. Based on what I've read online, this company has successfully done this to people many time. If they were honest, they would modify their site to fix what I'm sure they don't see as a problem. Sure it's a gold mine. HERE IS THE REAL PROBLEM. I PAID THE $119 AND THESE PEOPLE LOCKED ME OUT. SO COURSE HERO, LET ME IN OR GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY.

It charges you for the year and not for the month as they pretend. It's next to impossible to get a refund after they scammed you out of your money. The website has a unnecessarily long process to unlock document even after you pay...often times you will end up not being able to view a document you want...the website is very unorganized and set up to milk the most money out of you without getting you any benefits. So in the end you lose your money and time. Do not get this subscription is my advise.

This company should NOT have a rating of A+, this is obviously a fake rating. This company took my money and then closed my account without being able to tell me why my account was closed and refused to give a refund. Their customer service is just horrible and rude and hung up on me. Every customer service rep is rude and unwilling to help with any questions. I was told they have 2 managers, they wouldn't let me speak or have call me back to answer the questions and said they only have 1 department..... This is a horrible c... read more

4 out of 5 Stars.... it was SO CLOSE TO 5 STARS FOR ME. The reviews were almost enough to make me not want to purchase the subscription! My suggestion to those looking into the purchase, actually go to the search bar within the website, not the app and click on “Find study materials by school” to see if there is material from your school / for that class. Also, read the fine print so you’re not surprised like most of the 1 star incompetent purchasers that all apparently just didn’t read the contract. The website is wonderful... read more

When you sign up it shows you the monthly rates, which would lead a person to believe that they will be charged monthly. When you sign up it actually charges you for the full year, and when I asked for a refund (having not used the website, only submitted my credit card info), I was told that I can either change to a three month plan for $60 and receive a refund of $$60 or I can change to a one month plan for $40 and receive a refund of $80. Huge scam. The service states that you cannot get a refund if you open just 1 document, however the only way to know if the service provides a satisfactory result is to...well open a document. How is this "satisfaction guaranteed"? Unfortunately most people will see this too late.
