I am very disappointed in Course Hero. They don't even deserve 1 out of 5 stars. I purchases a quarterly membership. They charged $59.85 to my card. I opened a couple of things (just to view what it was like) and was disappointed. The membership was not as promised. Less than 30 minutes AFTER purchasing my membership, i found where i could cancel, so i cancelled right away. I even wrote an email regarding my disappointment. Some of the worst Customer service I've ever received. I was told fairly condescendingly that they would be unable to refund me for a service I was unable to use. It was incredibly difficult to reach COURSEHERO whatsoever and had to dig through multiple numbers in order to reach them only to have them be 'Closed' during regular business hours. This company advertises being free. Once you sign up and give your email address they charge you to actually use their service. Thankfully I did not pay. Read all of the reviews many people who paid for the service did not get what they were promised. Beware this is probably a scam.

Terrible. I signed up for the 12 month subscription under the impression I would be charged monthly, and the next morning I saw my card was charged $120. There isn't a customer service number available so I filled out their cancellation request email. I was told because I accessed one study question I was unable to get a full refund and would still be billed $39.95 for a month subscription. Very dirty website and customer service.

These two despicable (barely) humans******** ******, CEO and ***** *****, Customer Service Representative--run the scam "Course Hero" which illegally bought MY graduate school papers and work and published for re-sale on their site without my knowledge or permission. Worse yet, they did the same to 14 year old ************ My work was copy-written, and my son has a signed document from his school declaring that all student work is copy-write protected by the school. Please Please, Do not sign up with Course Hero. They are a scam and will take your money. I tried to log on and it would not allow me, so I tried to change password. No results. I finally contacted customer service, which do not provide a telephone number but you must submit problem online. I received an email stating that my account was deactivated after they charged $119 in January and closed the account in March, stating that I illegally uploaded documents. I subscribed to Course Hero a while ago, and it was not very helpful, so I requested for my subscription to be cancelled. I got charged the next month and contacted them through email, due to them not having a number to call. I was told it was resolved, but low and behold I got charged again. Do NOT use this service!

They have been charging me $34.95 every month for the last 11 months despite me trying multiple times to cancel the subscription. Their phone number is only listed if you start a complaint on the BBB but no where else can their customer care line be found. I have been on the phone with them nearly ever month for the past year and each time I get the "We are sorry we will issue a refund for the past 90 days but our credit card policy is that we do not issue refunds past 90 days".
